# Added an option for a max texture size of 2048. This will be used in the future as new planes begin to use 2048 textures for the cockpit interiors. You will need to have the hi-res texture pack installed to use 1024 or 2048 textures.

I like how they rotated the planes in the hangar to make the left side visible. Most of the nose arts are on the left. The towns and airfields look great! Although I think the days of inverted passes through the hangars are over.

What the heck does this mean? Who has been throwing dead terrain objects at bullets?

Which guns? Eight inch and shore batteries?

How to get into the gun at town?

Wow new layouts cool. Can grab BIG air with Jeep over new Ammo bunkers (bring lots of supps,lol). Town layouts awesome, hard to get into if not on road. Sorta like bocage,lol. No field guns seen in town offline. Do towns not have ack now?

Fixed a bug on a number planes that caused pilot armor to not transfer damage to the pilot when it’s threshold was reached.
...
This bug is now *officially* the reason why my ability to shoot things down has been so bad, lately.

How to get into the gun at town?
Far as I could see, there are no guns in towns. Not even at the corner of Dweibs and HoEr lanes.

The grass in town isn't affected by bump mapping.

Town killing with osti or wirble is I suspect a thing of the past.
As is town killing with 110's.
Rockets, bombs still work fine for buildings, in fact 500 lb bombs almost seem to work better than before.
I forsee a whole lot less field rolling from this day forward.
Its going to take a fair group of people with a combination of level bombers for the center, light bombers like A20 to clean up the scattered buildings, and fighters to keep the enemy capped.
Best start being nice to the bomber types guys. Cause from now on I think your going to need them.

Definately alot more work and coordination to do. Even on ports and VHs.

Some thoughts on the game play affects of the new terrain:
The new layouts of fields, ports and towns are very cool. No complaint from me. But, old labels, such as “main pad, offset and map room,” will need some updating.
The re-arm pads have only a single structure to obstruct sloppy ground maneuver. Moving them from the extreme ends of the runway lessens taxi time. :aok
On the to do list:
Kill something with a 17 pounder.
Figure out from which hangar does one spawn when selecting 'H.'
Do some tool shedding from the ground and the air.

much unlike some others the update made my hand twitch toward my wallet and consider expediting my return date. Chewing on that right now in fact.
