Title: Thrustmaster T16000 opinions
Post by: SkyGnome on July 22, 2010, 03:41:31 PM
Anyone have first-hand experience with the Thrustmaster T16000?

The reviews all seem to say it's very accurate, the layout looks good, and it's cheap.  Anyone know a downside?

Thanks.

I have one here that must be fixed.

With about 2 months use it developed a serious throttle problem. Will have to replace that.

I would set 100% power, and leave it there. Suddenly, power would start oscillating up and down.

If I had WEP on, WEP would go off due to those oscillations(same effect as reducing throttle).

I found a nice review by a russian guy who costumizes sticks and posts pictures of those sticks diassembled.

Will not post link here for obvious reasons.

Just Google for Thrustmaster 16000M Sokol and you'll find it.

Another problem was too  few buttons. Although it has many buttons on base, half o those will be unusable. You must choose right or left hand use ad enable them accordingly.

When I have the time and patience, will fix it.

Now, am using an old stick I kept here as backup.

i have had none of those problems with my T16000.

i have had it for about half a year. the only problem i had with mine is the spring got weak and would not stay centered. all i did was replaced the spring with a beefed upped spring from hardware store. cost me like 6 bucks. other than that no problems what so ever. works like a champ. if your looking for a cheap good stick and get your moneys worth i would tell you to get it.
