I'm sure each and everyone of you know what I'm talking about when I say ACK HUGGERS MAKE ME PUKE! When you're in a good ole' fashion fight, dueling and having a fun time, and the evil 37mm's of the field come out to play. Now I'm not talking a vulch- or an aerial vulch, I'm talking an ack-hugger who runs from a fight to his field defense. Although that could have been used back in WWII, and it is an acceptable habit to become acustom to (I say that to keep everyone happy...), Even in the war it had its draw backs. A huge sum of aircraft lost (Attack on Y-29 for example) their lives due to friendly field fire. Flak divisions of German gunners took out more than a quarter of friendly german aircraft in operation Bodenplatte, a last ditch effort by the Germans on Allied airfields. What I'm getting at, is that Ack-ack can be a problem in the real world to even friendly fighters. Thus- I'd like to suggest a friendly fire system, when If you run to your own ack in a fight, just like the real world, you too can be damaged by it. Although I know ack can injure you in the game already- in the real world though, it would be far more unpredictable as to where it hits. I'm not looking for a flame war here, Just reasonable critiques.Thoughts?

You fly? Nothing will happen when you take off? If acks firing, it'll simply add.. some adventure?

What I'm getting at, is that Ack-ack can be a problem.
Yes I can be, especially to those that find me on their six.
ack-ack

bahahaa ^^ :D

and +1 to the idea

Don't follow them into the acks is the easiest solution to your problem. If you see them running to their base, break off and loiter outside of ack range.

ack-ack
This doesn't happen very often. He generally kills you from your three, or four...you get the idea. Ack-Ack rarely hangs around long enough to get on your six.

Very true, I just find that to be outstandingly frustrating :D But yes Ackack, that is a viable solution.

And the first time you are defending your field against a concentrated attack with enemy planes diving in and out of the ack and then your own ack starts taking out you and your buddies you'll wish that you didn't make this wish.

Most if not all of the friendly fire incidents at Y-29 were either due to, "here comes a low plane, shoot it" or a friendly chasing and enemy plane and the ground gunners failing to lead by enough margin to hit the following aircraft.
Over Berlin, intercepting fighters did not follow the attacking bombers into the AAA boxes unless they too wanted to risk getting hit.
I would almost give a +1 to manned puffy ack bit that would be griefer heaven.
wrongway

Yes, puffy ack that can kill a friendly would be useful- but then there'd be that "one guy" Sitting on the stern of the friendly carrier in the 5inch vulching friendlies as they take off

Friendly Auto Puffy was taken me out over CV's, attacking buffs that are in Auto Puffy range isn't always a good idea.
