I've flown 190's, ki-84, 109k4 and all these planes are stalling a lot quicker and easier in turns they didn't before the update. Clonk was complaining about the niki doing the same thing and I told him I've had the same problem in a few other planes.
I bet the whole set is doing this but these planes above I know are

Did you recalibrate your stick or check that scaling had not be set back to default with the update, or something like that?
I have not tried the update but just an idea if you didn't.
-
rgr bat settings are still the same as before and I have a ch stick I don't have to recalibrate it - it's rock solid always I'm done flying until they fix the sound and stalling can't even stand it enough to even fly
-
strange! just tested mine out and it works normal, sidewinder stick and windows XP.
sorry for you mate :headscratch:
-
I've noticed it too in the Hurri Mk1 and the A6M2; and I've got rock-solid and calibrated CH equipment too. I'll just have to try to fly a bit smoother and "realistic". ;)

Hmmm... :headscratch:
According to the readme, they adjusted the pilot armor (I am assuming this means armor that protects the pilots position). I don't recall any other changes mentioned, could there be some weight anomolies associated??? geez just wondering. After another read, I noticed the force feedback stall effect has been changed. That would more likely be what you are experiencing. Since I don't have force feedback, maybe I can't feel the difference. TnDep, what about you, are you using a force feedback joystick?
I just checked: included in this patch
"Fixed a bug on a number planes that caused pilot armor to not transfer damage to the pilot when it’s threshold was reached."
"Changed the force feedback stall effect to come on with the stall buffet sound instead of the stall horn."
TnDep, I hope it gets sorted out for you bro. I enjoy flying with you and have learned much since I have been.

thx guys
Chilli <S> bro I believe it may be because I can't hear the stall horn I'm hoping. I use to have my engine at 0 and stall horn ect around 25 on the volume control.
For some reason now I can't hear bullets hitting my plane, stall horn, flaps ect I can however hear my planes engine, wind, and external planes
I'm stalling like crazy it's got to be the sound of the stall horn
-
Are you using custom sounds?
-
well im finding the planes deffinatly are stalling easier, this update seems to have adjusted everything for me :(
-
Same problem here, I am using customs sounds.
-
Pyro I believe its the sounds, we hear the sounds different now, so we dont pick up the clues as to when we are about to stall. I never look at my speed, etc, only listen to engine/stall sounds, but since now they sound different, I keep stalling. Last nite I lost 5 spit8's in about 10 min. Today I played for a while, in some really low speed and I didnt stall.

Are you using custom sounds?
all default Pyro

Do any of you guys normally fly with the stall limiter enabled? Did that become disabled?
Can you also check your stick scaling and see if that's turned off or somehow different?
-
And definitely do try to recalibrate your stick.
-
I have always flown with my stall limiter off..well I mean it was off before the update. :salute
-
I have as well always had the stall limiter off and after the update it is still off, also scaling is still the same on all axis. I will see if it's my joystick tonight I don't think so never had a problem with the ch ever needing recalibrated but I will check I know you guys are overloaded right now thanks for the help Pyro I'll let you know if I come up with anything.
-
Didn't notice any difference except during the first 5minutes I went in TA to test out the 2.20 update. I can only explain it due to the stall sounds being lower that most are accustomed to. Been dogfighting for two hours over there this evening with many planes, there is nothing wrong with them. Keep your ears open and watch that cockpit shake.

:airplane: You said you never reclaibrate, all sticks need to be re-calibrated some time. :joystick:

What difference would custom or default sounds make after this update?
-
my stalls are back to zero. New patch appears to be working well
I turned up the stall horn alittle not sure if that was it but everythings good here now.

Subscribed.. I use custom sounds and stall sound, gear, flaps and pings on my plan are very hard to hear. Esp pings..

the volume at which the custom sounds were recorded could prevent you from hearing the clues of a stall with the latest sound update.
-
"Changed the force feedback stall effect to come on with the stall buffet sound instead of the stall horn."
Like we knew the difference to start with?

I think you are a lot better off with default sounds for every thing except the plane you are in. HTC goes to a lot of trouble to make the game run as smoothly as possible. Then we customize it to add all these extra sounds. When you enter into a big furball/fight the game has to sort out all of the sounds and make things work smoothly. Can you see a problem developing?

That's the only thing I can see that would account for some people feeling that they stall easier. If their custom stall horn volume is recorded too low they're not going to have the audible cue to ride the edge.

Pyro,
Thanks for the attention from HTC. It doesn't seem that this is a bug, but rather a wishlist item, adjustable stall horn volume. Now, I could be wrong with the force feedback issue though, since I have heard complaints of certain sticks being unable to scale. ( I don't have force feedback so I can't comment on effects of the update).

I was able to turn the stall horn down when I had the stall vibration on the FFB stick to give me a tactile cue. /Hijack] :joystick:
