Title: A Real E6B
Post by: Tupac on July 23, 2010, 12:36:04 AM
I think people shold have to calculate their E6B like real pilots in ww2 did. Im sure that its the way it is purely for the sake of gameplay, but it would be VERY cool for scenarios.

Really this isnt for the MA, only scenarios and snapshots.

Well then you should understand that the mechanical E6B would be hard to learn to use for most people, and not everyone would be interested in spending time to learn it.
On the contrary I use an E6B for flight in AH2 and it is quite helpful, giving me information that the AH2-E6B is not able to provide.
So perhaps we should ask HTC to improve the AH2-E6B?

That mechanical E6B on amazon is incredibly overpriced, you can get one ~$10, and how come it says "toy" next to it?  :rofl

Having never used a real E6B, what features does yours give you over the in-game one?

The list of all of it's ability is long and a lot of them have to do with the weather witch we do not have, but one of the most common features that I use is distance to target (just to calculate how long it would take me to get from point A to point B at a certain speed, E6B can do it in seconds).

Here is a manual if your interested: http://sportys.com/source/images/7205.pdf (http://sportys.com/source/images/7205.pdf)

P.S. I just don't have the time right now to type out the whole list.
P.P.S. Let me know if you have any questions

Just buy a paper whiz wheel online. There are even some websites where you could print and build your own for free. Easier to use than any whiz wheel built into the game would ever be.

Here are some rat cheer.
