Title: Large 32 flashing in GV sight
Post by: Dr_Death8 on July 23, 2010, 07:41:28 AM
Not sure if it was from my system getting hot and tired from playing for a few hours with graphics maxed out or a bug, but on the Trinity map, there was a 30-45 second instance where I was looking through the sights (pos 2) and a large red 32 would flash up in place of my GV sight (Ammo count was 43 at the time). I did hit the Alt-R and recorded it and will send it in when I get home tonight.  :salute

A film probably won't help us but a screenshot would.

Will see if I can get it to recreate as it does not show gunsight in filmviewer. Will try catching it in fraps as it flashes pretty quick.  :salute
I was playing around offline to try to recreate it but no avail yet. I did notice that the offline drones (nme) are knights, my base is firing at them. When I change my country to knights, the drones are friendly and the bases quit attacking. Can still blow them up though. Is that a bug?

i tried to get a picture of it but to no avail,  it will not show up on the film viewer either it was in a m4 76  main gun, i got it to do it but did not have fraps on, it is a flicker anyway,, not a major problem, when i went back with fraps i could not re create!   sorry,,,  btw  the number 32 will pop up and change sizes as i look at different stuff,,, looking at trees mostly is when i noticed it, or close objects! base 155 of the pink arena right now is were it happened to me!

I noticed that yesterday offline when I was panning the zoomed sight of the 17Lb'r. It would flash a "32" momentarily over the top of the GV drone I was ranging as the sight passed across the GV drone. Would have been nice if that was the actual range of the drone. I thought it might have been HiTech tinkering with an offline auto range finder to help teach how to estimate range. Hope it is..... :)

I noticed the same thing WWhiskey is reporting. I was also in the M4 76 main gun, and the "32" would flicker on/off as I was panning the main gun left and right.
It was mostly a larger size, but on one or two instances it was more of a medium size. I had 47AP rounds at that time, so it definately wasn't an ammo count.
Can't think of any other details other than the tank I was in at the time.

Hope this helps.

Haven't been able to recreate it myself but at least now know it isn't just my computer.  :x

I caught it in Fraps offline in an M8 in Trinity. There are small #32 that flashes as well. Always the number 32

I noticed this again last night in a panzer IV, and noticed that when I zoomed in, and then used the arrow pad keys to shift the view in/out, it was solid and not the flickering one i'd seen previously.

I caught it on film with FRAPS also but it look like you probably have enough info to find it.
