Title: How sturdy are CH Pros?

Still considering buying some, how sturdy are they?  Will they put up with size 9's pushing on them all the time?

My size 12s have been pushing my pro pedals for nearly 2 years.. no probs.

Hi there,

I don't know about the rudder pedals but I have had 2 CH PRO joysticks in the last 5 years. The first was my primary stick for over 3 years. My son uses it now for his games and it works fine. The springs are a bit sloppy but the pots are fine. My second joystick is working great after about a year +. It does have a 3 year warrantee as well. CH told me there woyuld be no problem getting parts if I wanted to rebuild my old stick. I figure the rudder pedals are going to be just as sturdy.

U can buy them , no worries . Trust me , I am a big enough to break them if they were cheap . hehe .

The only mechanical troubles I've had with CH stuff is worn out hat switches.  I've replaced a couple of pots over the years too.  And I had one keyboard connector that got a little too loose after being pulled out/plugged in a few hundred times.  But the stick and rudder and throttle mechanisms have been no problem.

I've had a set of CH Pro Pedals I bought when they first released them. Still working fine.

been using ch pro pedals for about a year now.  Absolutely no problems with my size 12 combat boots pushing on em.  ;)

i've had mine 3 1/2 years, no problems from me stomping on them at all

I've had mine for 3 1/2 years also. Changed pots early last year. I use them as foot rests while not flying, they're sturdy buggers!

Size 13 1/2  shoe at the end of thi 6ft 5", 290lb luxury liner sized guy here and my CH Por peds are still working fine after three plus years.  :)

 I don't pound on them either anyway. I have them sitting on a rubber matt to keep them from sliding around. And I find gentle rudder inputs work best - with an occasional hard push.

CH pedals are sturdy, but don't depend on getting parts.  Their customer service isn't what it used to be.

I am new to AH, I purchased a CH porducts USB F16 and Pro peddles I use XP. My question; will XP detect the hardware and install the correct drivers or does someone know where I can get USB drivers? I looked at CH's site but they do not support W2K or XP.  Thank you in advance.   :)

CH doesn't have any 2k/xp drivers out yet. Last I heard they were suppose to have somethign this month.

I havn't tried it, but I beleive XP should see your sticks as joysticks, and you should be able to use them as such, but you might loose buttons and special features without actual drivers.
