Title: Sounds & Bad Lag

Hi I have been trying out your new patch. I have some big problems with sounds , All I can here is my engine I can not here guns/flaps/gear/enemies shots on me/ect if I turn engine sound down i here nothing other than everyone else & vox. Also my lag is so bad its UNPLAYABLE . Do you have any help you may give me in these problems I dont want to leave but if it does not improve I wont be able to  play anymore  I have now been playing since 2001. I am not one who is on here all the time whinning constantly over minor things.

Need for you to post a dxdiag, could be any number of things.

Only post System Information, Display Devices and Sound devices.

Picko, I put together a zip of volume-adjusted sounds that will help with the sound level issues, if your system experiences the same issues as mine (flying).

See the sticky at the top for what folks who monitor the forum need to be able to give you assistence on the other issue.

"Lag" is a very broad term.  It falls into two major categories.  Game lag occurs when the computer is having resource issues. A DXDIAG output would procide enough information to start helping with that, but if the cause of resource issues is the result of some other application running on your computer, a DXDIAG will not show that.

Network lag occurs when any number of routers on the Internet are simply overloaded.  This particular version of lag can happen anywhere between your computer and the game server.  A PingPlot would help narrow it down.
