Title: Musicians...
Post by: SuBWaYCH on July 26, 2010, 09:49:06 PM
I am a string player (viola) and I am also an avid drummer (I play in 2 bands and fill in when I have to for a 3rd). I am starting this thread so the musicians in the AH community (I know there are tons of them) can show off there work to others. I don't want this thread to become a "my playing is better then your playing" or "I can do this better then you can". Only constructive criticism and helpful pointers are aloud!  :rock

This is the band I fill in for...

Have you done a "Canon Rock" cover on violin Subway?  :D

I love music, and play Piano and Drums (and I sing when no one's around  ;) ). Haven't really gotten around to play seriously on my drums yet as I'm still buying more stuff (need some better bass pedals, and a few more cymbals never hurts), so I've been playing the piano a lot. I think I'm getting better at both instruments but nowhere near good yet  :o

One of the acts I used to do Production management / Audio engineering for:

You can play "Where's Waffle" with this music video. I'm in there a few times :)

Here's another act I spent some time with:

And the last guy I worked with before coming on board here at HTC:

Did tons of one offs and regional support / touring from everyone from the Temptations / Four Tops to the Pixies and The Killers.  Think sometime in the future I'm going to have to go through my memory and write down all the acts I remember working with one one basis or another.

I play bass in a variety band in the Atlanta area called Hudson Road.Dancable classic rock, new country,Motown, old school funk,we'll play almost anything for our fanbase. Our Facebook page was showing almost 1000 fans as of last week. We play on average 3 weekends a month doing the usual bar gigs, with a private party or wedding reception ever couple of months. Been doing this since the early 80's and just love it. Check out our Facebook page. I'm the ugly "Shaggy" dude behind the Tobias 6 string bass!  :rock

I need to get my stuff copyrighted, I have probably 50 "songs" written, and just have to go through it all.... old 4 track and I just bought the M Audio thing today to bring it all on to the PC.

I won't post anything until I copyrighted it.

Mustaine, I know with print you can mail it to yourself and as long as it's post dated and sealed it will act as a poor mans copyright. However that may not apply to music. With my stuff I'm just happy someone would want to even listen to it.

Yes and I believe the "created on" date of a music file would go a long ways too.  But anyways...  As soon as you find a publisher that isn't in it to rape you let me know...
