I have bad frames since the new update anyone else seeing this?
-
The frame rates should have improved a little bit. Maybe a DXDIAG output would be a good place to start. Also note the background CPU usage when the computer is idle (Task Manager->Processes tab).
-
I run on a dell labtop yeah I no labtops arent for gaming but it worked perfectly before these last two updates (sound ones). Task manager says I have 45 task running I believe. I run Game Booster but that doesnt seem to help.
-
That did not answer my question. What is the CPU usage like, when the computer is not doing anything? I still need a DXDAIG output.
-
About 5% for that heres the DXDIAG.

ok, I can see a real big problem right off the bat. Windows 7 requires 1GB of system RAM for itself. Now, take away the 251MB of system RAM allocated to the video chip and now Windows 7 is trying to run in 770MB, or so, of the remaining RAM.
There is just no way for the game to run smoothly or without reduced frame rates. The system is going to be swapping from the very first load of any application/utility, which explains why there is over 700MB of page file used.
You are simply asking that laptop to do more than it is capable of doing. I really have no other way to say it.
Does the latest version of the game require a bit more RAM? Yes. Anytime there is any graphical updates, it requires more RAM.

Thanks i'll be getting a new CP anyway soon.
