On my end, the new Mission Editor still has the planes "scurrying" across the warp segments instead of disappearing at the start and rematerializing at the end of the warp segment which locks up my computer when trying the mission in Aces High offline mode.

Anyone get their warp segments to work?

Nope. Detailed info forwarded to Sudz. Hope they can fix it.

Still don't understand how the warps worked for the first couple years and then took a dump on a version update where nothing new was added to the ME, it was just an AH update. :headscratch:

Still no go.

Maybe I'm missing something that should be obvious to me.

I used the new Mission Editor (V2.20P3) to access the source code for two of my old missions, which had worked previously.

The new Mission Editor is able to edit that code. It successfully plays both missions to completion. I used the "File -> Build Res Library" facility on each, and that appeared to work correctly. In each case, I was warned that "A Mission's Name cannot exceed 16 characters". I had expected that, since my old missions used longer names and Sudz had warned about that. In both cases, I chose shorter names, and a new file was created using the new name and ending in ".res". In both cases, that new file was stored in the "offmiss" folder where I had put the source code.

But the main Aces High flight sim software (aceshigh.exe) version 2.20P3 never does anything with either new mission. I get no indication that any offline missions are available for the corresponding terrains. I KNOW I'm accessing the appropriate terrain map, in "Offline Practice" mode, but when I click on "Practice Missions", none are ever listed.

I've tried several things in my attempts to figure this out:

-- I've copied the ".res" file from the "offmiss" folder to the "missres" folder.
-- I've edited the ".res" file to make sure all of the internal references to ".wav" files point to the proper locations in the source code

I'm out of ideas now. Anybody having success?

Not sure about anyone else here but I am still having issues with the missions locking up at first warp. What I have found out that I have not read from anyone yet is that even if I uncheck the warp segment box it still locks up, almost like it is the cruise setting that is causing the problem and not the warp.

I am not sure if I am doing something wrong or not, but has anyone else problems seeing the bases with the newest ME? I decided to try and play with ME a little to create some fun while at work and now when I try to start a new mission the bases don't appear and without them showing there is no way for me to know where to put the first waypoint.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

You have "View Terrain" checked, right?  Not being patronizing - just checking the basics.

It works for me now. I'm really not sure why it didn't work when I first tried it, but I'm glad to report that it works now, so long as I don't have any warp segments.

Any word on whether the Warp Segments are being fixed?  I put some projects on hold until the segments get fixed; but if there are no plans to fix them, then I will see about designing around the problem.

New Mission Editor (http://downloads1.hitechcreations.com/editors/AHMISSEDIT2210.EXE) update released today.

I have no idea what was addressed in this release.  Ask the -sudz- (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php?action=profile;u=88) man.

Do you post the release notes?

I would be curious to see the changes that affect the GUI...if any

Warp segments look fixed.  Planes no longer scurry across the segment in the Mission Editor.  Warp segments now work in off-line missions without locking up the computer.  Thanks.
