Total noob at this using a camera and software that are new to me. Some are better than others but one of them is head and shoulders above the rest IMO. Shot with a Pentax K20D and rendered using PhotomatixPro.

Liking the first and last ones Tec, the others, some of the colours seem to be over emphasised (but that could this wonky old laptop I'm having to use till I buy a new puter)
Particularly like the last one, spot on pic bud.

i saved the last one to see what it looks like as a pencil drawing and it looks pretty cool. you should try it. Only thing that could have made it better is if it all was in focus
-
Focus and everything else is spot on with the last one in particular. I can see what you may have been trying to do with some of the flower shots, all I can say is mess around with the focus a bit and you'll be taking professional pics in no-time :aok

Yea, all the flowers but the last one were shot with a zoom lens. Knew this wasn't gonna be the best as far as output but I was at a public park and was trying for some close in shots with the bees without trampling on anything and it kinda backfired on me. Thanks for the critiques and hopefully I'll get some good light so I can get some more practice in.

very nice, I love the water-scape at the top. The white orchid (?) is a very nice shot, but it's kind of typical photography so not as good to look at as the water, for me. My misses is a photographer so I see thousands of flower shots all over the place everyday :)
Very nice shots all together. Keep at it.

Level horizon would do wonders. :D
...not that I can really say much considering my poor photography skills...

I've never been a huge fan of HDR. I use it, but only when the dynamic range of the scene calls for it. I used to do the same thing with sets of graduated ND filters, now it's just easier to bracket then HDR process.
1st shot bugs me because the horizon is right in the middle, (rule of thirds :aok ) I would have shot from a lower angle to bump the horizon down and shown more of those high contrast clouds.
2nd, 3rd and 5th ones the reds and magenta are WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYY over saturated.
4th one, :aok I like the soft desaturation of the background.
6th one, technically the best by far I'd say, composition, lighting, focus and depth of field are spot on. Only thing is with the desaturated background, need to fix those orange blotches in the upper right.
As someone else pointed out, flower shots don't excite me much. BUT they ARE great subjects to learn the basics of lighting, composition, DOF, focus, motion blur, etc on.
If you really wanna do spectacular flower shots, get a fast telephoto lens, something like a 90mm 2.8 macro, or even a 85mm 1.4 if you have lotsa $$$.

Good HDR work takes a great deal of practice, and no small amount of experience. Keep at it and look at work of the better HDR specialists.
