The other night I was flying in the MA, pink I believe. I had gotten into a furball with some of my squaddies, and was turning with my pink spiity on a f4u. Well I look up and see a spitty coming straight at me, I throw the plane into a hard nose dive to avoid a possible ho. The other player did the same. To make a long story short I had a collision with him and I know I caused it, I didn't cause it on purpose but it happens. Well I pmed the other player and apologized for the ram, well I was expecting tyhe usual retoric of being called a ace pilot and other verbage which I can't post here.
The thing that really got my attention was the fact he comes back and tells me "No problem it was as much my fault as anyones."
The bad part is I can't remember who it was, it must be the old age setting in. All I can say is it is a breath of fresh air to see that type of response, so to whoever you were I'm sorry for forgetting your handle but :salute from LawnDart

There are times when a collision happens that neither pilots could not avoided.

Tell me about it I had a collision with thundar the other night and he started telling me that if i cant fly then stay away from the game.
I thought well of all the cheek a little squirt from the Claim Jumper's who's Ba's Have probably not dropped yet telling me that i cant fly. In the first place i was diving down to him from head on and slightly to his left i made to dive under him next i see he nose's down instead of pulling up. I mean its common sense that if a plane is diving under you and you wish to ovoid a collision you pull up :)
Oh well
I mean i have collided with others and not on purpose but it always happens when i get in really close quarters dogfighting And if it does happen I'm always first to say sorry i misjudged your position and mine and as always they like its cool it happens in close quarter dogfight's.
But no disrespect to thundar he probably misjudged it as well but he should never have said what he said if instead he said Bullet what happened i would in turn have said sorry i miscalculated your next move and said sorry.
But in turn he goes off on one and to top it all off he was able to continue flying and fighting :lol

:salute I was in a P39. I've found that manners means more to me then landing kills these days. I believe it's up to each player to try and set an example of good game play for others to see. Chitty PMs does nothing to improve on the game. I wouldn't call myself a "class act"....just normal. Thanks for the post though. I do appreciate it sir.

You could probably check your stats and see who you killed that was in a spit and that my refresh your memory. That is assuming u got a proxy on him when he died.
Anyway, good story. There are actually a lot of ppl ot there that are good eggs. Especially when you treat them right like u did.

Bullet,
Who was it? I'll make sure to straighten him out. There are a couple of "squeekers" that have somehow made it into our squad that I'm not happy about.

And THIS is one of the major reasons I returned to the game. I care about getting better at ACM but I care a whole lot more about how I comport myself in game and out. :salute to both of you gentlemen.

Well now that I can put a name to the plane, and I'm sorry it was P39 not spit.
:salute uptown and yes you were a class act for not jumping down my throat.
-
No one is really dying, and we get new planes every time. No point in getting worked up. Sounds like folks are getting that :)
-
Actually I die every time.

You're right ebfd11.
Plane collision is not a problem, "things" happen.
The problem is "ego collision". :x
Some guys just don't get that we´re just opponents and not "enemies".
Mutley :salute
