Iranian's aren't that stupid.  An isolated attack, maybe.  Part of a larger plan to close off the Strait - I don't believe it.  They know perfectly well that the West would see that as a casus belli.

I don't think they would do it, oil is income for thier country, ecological disaster, the trouble that would be stirred up. Didn't Iran and Iraq have mines in thier war between them, can any of them still be floating around?
