Title: Engine RPM Control P38
Post by: Infidelz on July 31, 2010, 07:43:26 PM
I don't have a problem in analog mode using rotary pots. Both needles move independently.

In digital mode using Shift 1 and shift 2 with the Keypad plus and minus things go awry. RPM needles are stuck together. I am not sure what is happening. I no longer have separate needles and I easily lose track of where each engine is.

Any ideas or am I just imagining?

Try selecting separate engines with shift+cntrl+1 (or shift+1 don't remember) and then change the RPMs again.

"In digital mode using Shift 1 and shift 2 with the Keypad plus and minus"

Check

I went back into the game and found the following.

Shift engine# indeeds works for on/off. it does not work for RPM.

The RPM gauges do not work in Keyboard mode. also the RPM controls do not respond individually in keyboard mode. I can only surmise that we cannot feather 1 prop in keyboard mode without affecting all of the others. The RPM controls do respond when coupled with a rotary input.

Another problem I found was with the Mossie. looks like a graphics problem with the throttles. The controls do not separate with a multi engine throttle (this in analog mode). I am not sure of other aircraft as I only tried the B-25, P-38 and Mossie.
