Title: Warning to AH pilots who live in Florida
Post by: duffus on July 12, 2001, 05:06:00 PM
DUE TO THE EXTREME DROUGHT IN FLORIDA,THE FOLLOWING CAUTION IS BEING ISSUED.....         The Florida Department of Fish and Wildlife is adviseing sportsman and golfers to be on the alert for alligators that are moveing into populated areas. You are advised to wear bright colored clothing and in the event of an encounter with an alligator to carry a pepper spray. Watch for fresh signs of alligator activity. People should learn the difference between young alligator droppings and those of the large adults. The young alligator droppings usually contain small fish bones and possibley bird feathers. The droppings of the larger adults will have bits of bright colored fabric and have an odor like pepper spray.
