Title: Strengthening the USB Combatstick springs

I heard somewhere that you could do this can anyone describe or post pictures as to how I can tinker with it without damaging my 65 buck stick.

just pop her open, streatch the spring or put a spacer under it, and put it back together, a joystick is far from being complicated, and its really easy to snap them back together.  installing a hard drive is MUCH harder than dissecting and messing with a joustick.

Just make sure you wear a wrist strap while your in there so you dont blow it away with ESD, and make sure your wrist strap has a resistor in series so you dont ger electrocuted working on something else in the future.

 As soon as you open the stick you void the warranty.

 That being said, use O-rings in conjuntion with the springs to 'tighten' up the gimble and get more resistance.
  Also, this stick has a four way hat right? Here is a web site that shows you how to make it an 8 way. So far all CH hats I've seen are the same on all thier sticks but still, make sure it looks identical before trying this:

What are O-rings? how do I insert them?
