I know the "experts" are saying otherwise, but West Virginia will win the Big East. Pitt will still eat "Rule #6"

#4 for Texas? - They must have typo'd it and forgot to add the A&M.
Coaches must have a lot of faith in the QB Garret Gilbert..... hope he doesn't get hurt - Texas' 2nd backup QB just left - leaving them with 2 freshman. (one is Colt's Little bro)
Can't wait for November.... Garret Gilbert meet Von Miller...Von Miller meet Garret Gilbert....
Saw em off!

Bama! :rock ...and I'm thinking Iowa will finish better then #10. 5th maybe? :headscratch:
-
Bama will get knocked off, Ohio state will get knocked off, Florida will get knocked off.
Oklahoma will be in the National Championship.

of course... they will lose to my beloved Frogs....
I can dream can't I?

I watched him play for Graham last year versus Bridgeport (who had an awesome defense). The kid has the skills.

Im a Gator fan and I am shocked how high they are ranked.
They lost much of their team to the draft. Most of the offense has gone off at least the key parts have, and the defense is weakened through the draft as well. The D-Line will be good this year as well as the secondary. The LB corps will need to prove themselves.
The WR corps also will need to step up, QB is new and not Tim Tebow. John Brantley will be a completely different feel to the game and the O-line should be solid. The tight ends will have to step up as well if they will use them as much as they did Hernandez last year.
While I think Florida should be in the top 10, 3 is pushing it. I would put them closer to 7 or 8.
I feel Miami, Penn St, North Carolina, and Wisconsin should be ranked higher. Hell I would put Boise St at 3.

Not a lot of SEC, PAC-10 or BIG XII teams on there.
-
i like the #2 team
GO BUCKEYES!

Texas at #4 is a joke. Call me crazy and biased, but Nebraska's schedule plays out very nicely for them to have a BCS bowl or bust type of season. The biggest game of the college football season will take place October 16th, Texas vs Nebraska in Lincoln. Will be there.
-
Go Texas :)
-
my younger brother (Dylan Wynn, look him up) just comitted to Oregon St. he's gonna be a senior at De la Salle in California this year. interesting to see how his future team will do.

But you know Ohio State will just choke again when they come to face an SEC team in a big game again. :devil

We shall see. :noid

who cares about polls, i just cant wait for a legit playoff system ...... Go Ducks !!

Ummm, there is only one game that they choked on, against UF.
-
Even though Ohio State is 0-8 or 0-9 vs the SEC on bowl games right?
LSU still beat Ohio State by more than 2 TDs in their BCS game.

I thought that you where talking about the BSC games that they choke on, and only one game that they did against UF. OSU should have never got in the National championship in 2007 but thanks to the worthless BSC system, they where put in there. I believe most people knew that LSU will win, even OSU fans knew that.

OU's record of bowl game futility can't continue forever.
Also, look for Stoop's little brother to make some noise in the Pac-10.
Go Sooners!!
Go Wildcats!!

I said big games. I just put that stat out for bowl games.
Everyone knows the SEC is the premier conference. Ohio State may get lucky since their defense will be very good this year. That defensive line will be formidable with Heyward at DE. I personally like them to be in the championship game this year but we all know how screwed up the BCS is. I feel they can roll through their schedule being not that bad except for games against Wisconsin and Penn St this year both which will be very difficult opponents. Penn St will be a very good team with the defense more experienced and the offense still having Royster. Their QB still questionable though. Wisconsin has a very good OL in front of Clay and I see him being a top rusher this year if its true as they say that his fumbling problem is done. Their defense is weak though.
I hope the hell Alabama falters this year. I dont like Saban and I dont like 'Bama. Got to stand behind the Gators, hoping Brantley proves to be everything that he has been hyped up to be. Going to be interesting just how the young team does with many new starters on both sides of the ball.
-
now i'm a bama fan, but i just don't think that alabama will win out this year. It's not that they aren't good or anything, it's the six teams that have an off week before they play them, all hard teams. i think they'll have a 10-2 season though.
-
So who is the team that expected to play In the national championship
-
In all honesty Im seeing Ohio State and if the BCS is actually nice to them this year, Boise State. Boise State should be given the chance especially if they yet another undefeated season. Much of their team is back this year.
If Boise isnt given that chance I think it would be Alabama. Too many players are returning on both sides of the ball.
I see Oregon being the top team in the Pac-10 since you cant count USC. Ohio State in the Big Ten with Penn St being the runner up. Pitt will win the Big East. Texas will most likely win the Big 12. Miami will win the ACC. It will be Florida vs Alabama in the SEC championship again with Alabama winning as I think the Gators are too young this year.

Boise State? Nah, Boise State has another fluff schedule. They get past Va Tech, and Oregon State then they can walk to another conference championship. If they whine enough they might get a BCS bid. Oregon lost their QB to Ole Miss.
Iowa hosts Penn State this year, and they beat PSU in State college last year. Iowa's senior class has beat PSU 3 times(?) maybe 4? Ohio State also plays in Iowa City this year. In Columbus last year, the OSU/Iowa game went into overtime, Iowa lost. Iowa played with a true freshman QB on his first start. Ohio State/ Miami meet on Sept 11 in Columbus. Big ten will probably end up w/OSU on top, Iowa second, Wisconsin third. Iowa returned 10 Offense and 10 Defense starting players. Which was 3rd most in the B10. So Big 10 should do alright post season. SEC will be a dogfight with Alabama coming out with the fewest scars.

Oregon never lost there QB he got thrown off the team for breaking the law, Jeremiah Masoli was charged for his role in stealing a pair of laptop computers and a guitar from a fraternity house. He pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of misdemeanor second-degree burglary and Oregon coach Chip Kelly suspended him for the 2010 season. He still practiced with the team during spring drills and was expected to redshirt, he could of came back 2011 season untill he got busted for Herb, then Coach Kelly had no choice but to throw him off the Squad, Ducks are still strong at QB
-
I'm a little biased, but I'm picking a dark horse for the Pac Ten.
Arizona is returning 10 offensive starters, including Nick Foles who threw for almost 2500 yards and 19 TD's and showed remarkable poise as a freshman.
If the defense can fill some holes and if they can overcome that embarrassing Holiday Bowl shut out to Nebraska, they have a real shot at the Rose bowl.
They are certainly hungry enough.

Arizona is a team to watch. When Iowa played them last year they had a great secondary and at the time Grigsby was the second leading rusher in the nation. They will play Sept 18 in Arizona. Should be a very good game. Iowa will have one of the top defenses in the country, Nick Foles may have some trouble moving the ball against them.
Oregon should be interesting this year. Both of their backups are familiar with the system, but have limited game experiance. Nate Costa being out w/surgeries (2 years ago?) and Darron Thomas a sophmore.

I remember that game well. That was before Foles was named the starter and the offense was really struggling under Matt Scott.
Not that AZ would have won with Foles, but they made steady improvement after that game.
Depending on how AZ's defense responds, Sept 18th might be a pretty good game.

I wouldn't feel too bad about that loss. Nebraska was playing with a chip on their shoulder after a heart breaking b12 championship loss to Texas. They finally put it all together in that game once the pressures of the season were gone. That's why they are going into this season ranked in the top ten.
-
Thing is with Oregon though is they still have a strong RB in LaMichael James. If he has another strong season, Oregon will be successful.
