Title: Bomber updates.
Post by: Tupac on August 08, 2010, 11:13:43 PM
I feel that their are several bombers that see ALOT of use that need to be re-modeled.

1. B26 - This seems to be the worst of all. No circles on this plane at all, just octagons.
2. C47 - For such an important plane in the AH world it seems like this one should have bee remodeled.
3. Ki67 - The only japanese twin engine bomber has an AH1 model.

And here is where the new planes come in.

1. He111
2. Tupolev Tu-2
3. Petlyakov Pe-2
4. G4M2
5. Bristol Blenheim
6. Curtiss Helldiver (Dive bomber but itz got du cannunz)
7. B29

Let the flaming begin.

Cited production figures for the Pe-2 range from about 10,500 to 11,500. At its height, the Pe-2 comprised 75% of all Soviet twin-engined bombers in operation. The Finns operated several captured examples against the Soviets, and the type was supplied in the postwar period to Czechoslovakia, Communist China, Poland, and Yugoslavia.

Also, we should have the Short Stirling. GREAT early/mid heavy bomber, could hold more than the lanc's we have. and later in the war was used for British airborne ops

Short stirling didnt have as great of a range of didnt carry as big of a bomb load, but it would fill a nice EW gap, so +1

Not with a full load of fuel.

imo... filling the gaps is more important than adding personal favorites.

The Soviets and Japanese, and even the Germans and British for that matter have some glaring holes to fill in their bomber line ups.

Pe2
Betty
He111
Wellington

perhaps even an Italian bomber or better yet the French D520 fighter.

B29 is the only one that is personal favorite, helldiver needs to be in here.
