Title: Owned by Brazil again
Post by: SEraider on August 10, 2010, 09:30:34 PM

Once again Brazil brought out the Samba and had their 18 year old and 20 year old make our defense look dumb and slow.  Brazil looks good for 2014 WC.

USA had some good opportunities but many times failed to hookup as Brazil chopped the passing lanes off.  US looked slow and predictable in the attack.  Donovan was the best player out there but he had nobody to play with really.

 :frown: and

Don't forget about the 2012 Olympics in London, if the English can decide (with enough time to spare in making a team roster and get in some practice) wether or not they're gonna participate in the soccer program this comming olypics, it should be a great show.

Why would the english not participate?  It's U23 anyways.  Or am I missing your point?

I have a chance to get tickets to there. If I can get into a football game, I'm building a new superzela (vuvuzela duct taped to an airhorn)

Its complicated.

At the Olympics, the United Kingdom competes a single team - including athletes from all four of the home nations - England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

In soccer, each of the home nations compete individually. There is no 'United Kingdom' Football Association under which a UK soccer team could compete at the Olympics. No doubt one could be created for the Olympics, but the fear amongst the home nations is that if that were to happen, it wouldn't be too long before there was pressure for them to compete as a single team in all competitions and no-one wants that. So they simply don't compete in Soccer at the Olympics.

When's the Bob Bradley deathwatch going to be over?  I'd like to see what Klinsmann could do.  Be interesting to see Bradley at Aston Villa too if that happens.
