Not really sure if it's because we lack grass length or or something else but the rivers seem unnatural. I know we don't have many rivers in maps yet (course I don't fly around the larger maps so I'm not sure), but being that I fly WWI a lot I see them every flight and they just look "off".
My wish is for either taller grass around the rivers to add the effect that rivers aren't completely level with the top of the grass, or to add a little depth to the rivers such as a small incline into the water (maybe having Rivers sit at -1 feet with edges declining at 6" per 2" horizontal?). I have no clue how hard it is to code and it's not a big problem, but maybe when we get some sort of graphics change again it could be worked on if possible.
As for what I'm talking about to anyone who hasn't really looked at rivers:

What a river normally looks like (depending on where you go):
(http://cgc.rncan.gc.ca/floods/redriver/images/view1.jpg) Can see the water sits lower then the trees/grass level.
(http://www.fishing4fun.co.uk/thumbnails/metolius_river_pine_lg.jpg) Water is not at the same height as grass-top.
Maybe it's just because I live on a river that it bugs me, but it's just a small detail that sometime I'd like to see changed. :)

Along with tall grass along rivers, I would be thrilled if we got farms (and I mean real ones, not just the barns scattered across the landscape we have now) with decent sized wheat fields. Would be cool to drive a tank by/in them.

I would love to see more realist scenery, rivers, farms, roads, cities. It's just a slow process so the focus can be on the game and not kill people's computers.

Rivers would be pretty fun. Have only a few bridges they could cross I could sit there with a Tiger and pluck em off like gophers.

Jayhawk, if the strats don't kill your computer, a city of comparable size wouln't hurt it either. I've flown low over the strats strafing buildings, and I've driven through them in a GV. And personally, I would be fine having our towns for cities, or even several towns grouped together. I just want the immersion of rolling past a farm where the wheat is just about ready for harvest on my way to attacking an airfield. I would love a WWIIOL type of map where each city holds some value however small.

Amen.

would be fun to be able to drive a PT boat up a river, especially if there was a target somewhere along the way.

I don't really see rivers in the MA. I would love to get a bunch of rivers and streams added to the map, with some bridges. And if a river just happens to get inbetween your spawn and a base, you have to find a ford, or (assuming we ever get this) use a DD sherman.

Bring a couple of friends for more targets.

Something else I want to increase the immersion factor is for the special events maps to be run in the MA every so often. I would also enjoy seeing towns of shacks and huts in the PTO, wooden houses with thached roofes on the Western Front. I want to be able to thunder past low squat stone buildings in a panzer III with the sand under my tracks, and the African sun beating down on me. I play for the immersion, and the feel of when I blow up some poor M4 driver in what could be northern france.
