Im beginning to think this is a feature rather than a bug. Not absolutely sure but something to consider.

If it is a featue,or a bug for that matter, I hope someone from HTC says something one way or the other..

Last night, a squaddie and I were fighting in EW for some practice.  He didn't throw a darbar until he reached my radar circle, and vice versa.  Once the dot showed on the radar, so did the darbar.   :headscratch:

I would trust a dot long before I trusted a dar bar.

The Dot is supposed to appear at anything over 65 feet AGL.
The Dar Bar is supposed to appear at anything over 500 feet AGL (IIRC).

Which means that aircraft between 65 and 500 feet within radar range will show a dot, but no bar.

I've seen evidence pointing to malfunctioning of the Dar Bar at times, but that's already been discussed a million times over.
