Title: Tribute to the Korean Conflict Vets living and dead
Post by: captain1ma on August 14, 2010, 12:46:16 AM
Map tunisia

Korea Simulation

the son of a korean war vet asked
me to do this setup as a tribute to
the korean conflict. I made this setup
to honor those that participated in the
korean conflict. while it is not a realistic
battle, or even in the right part
of the world, that fact that it is jet Vs
Jet is the tribute.

in this setup both sides have ME262's,
Ar234's and C47( in case you want to capture
something). I will leave the jets up for 2 days.
if people are totally against it i will
change it, otherwise i will leave it.

again this setup is a trbute to those
that bravely fought in the Korean conflict.

no perks are needed to fly any of these
planes

planes:

Both sides have Me262, Ar234 and C47

Vehicles:

Knights

M-series vehicles

bishops:

all german iron

Icons:

friendly -- 3K
enemy -- Off

I'll try and be there :aok  Gives me a chance to auger 262's without the agony of killnig tons of perks :x  I just thought about the no icons thing in there with 262's, there could be a lot of quick deaths and what happened's going on :lol

Now that is an interesting idea, never seen that one before, jet vs jet dynamic on a scale you will never see in any arena.

Might give a small taste of what the often wished for Korean War arena would be like.

looks like a sweet setup... started deacking a base which generally lures somebody out but no luck.

My opinion for what it's worth is let it run a couple more days.  Think about it folks you get to ride the blowdryer and don't have to waste your perkie points.  I wouldn't mind somebody running up a flight of bombers just so I could give it a shot  :devil

First of all I can not thank my brethren in the 332nd for showing up and playing with me.  Thank you so much it really means a lot to me that you guys did that.

Grumps.. fuel multi to 2 and bases are way apart.  No complaint just an observation.

Thank you for the setup  :aok

Me, too.  Good to see all those folks there.  Had some fun fights, tricky with no icons and these speeds, makes you appreciate the old jet pilots.

I didn't think 500mph+ speeds coupled with no enemy icons would be any fun. I was wrong.  :airplane:

I never flown any 262, except for in offline mode. So it was great fun for me to finally get to fly one, in a real combat situation. And it really is fun to fight jet vs jet too!  :aok Would love to see this setup, (with minor tweaks, a few closer bases for quicker action for 1..) to be a fixed arena just like the the WW1 arenas. In fact, we could easily trade one of the WW1 arenas for one jet arena like this wouldn't we?!   :x :rock

It would perhaps be something for the wishlist?

Thanks guys, had fun last night with it.  Maybe this will give enough confidence to start upping them in the MA's.
