Will the PC1600 DDR 184pin ram fit into a 168 pin slot?

Even though im not well versed on it, just by reading the info provided in your question I would say no.

That's what I'm thinking but there's always hoping.. since the PC1600 runs at the same bus speed as my motherboard. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif) 200mhz

if ur MB doesnt support DDR Ram, then it wont work. DDR mem isnt backward compatible.

No, it won't work. I wouldn't worry about it too much though, it's not worth an upgrade by itself. It only tends to yield about a 5 - 10 % performance boost overall.
As far as I know, only the AMD 760 chipset is working properly with DDR ram, but it's expensive and limited production.
Best to wait IMO.
