Will the PC1600 DDR 184pin ram fit into a 168 pin slot?

That's what I'm thinking but there's always hoping.. since the PC1600 runs at the same bus speed as my motherboard.  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif) 200mhz

if ur MB doesnt support DDR Ram, then it wont work. DDR mem isnt backward compatible.

No, it won't work.  I wouldn't worry about it too much though, it's not worth an upgrade by itself.  It only tends to yield about a 5 - 10 % performance boost overall.

As far as I know, only the AMD 760 chipset is working properly with DDR ram, but it's expensive and limited production.

Best to wait IMO.
