My mic works outside of aces high but when im in it people say they cant hear me its just a whoosh sound of noise

Tune to yourself on "V" channel ingame and see how you sound to yourself. Then adjust accordingly. You might wanna check your mic settings in your computer's volume control advance settings. I have mine set all the way up. Hope this helps. :salute

Make sure in the sound panel you have the correct microphone selected. In my case, I have a SB XFi and I have 2 mic inputs and 2 aux inputs, if I select the wrong input I can get the same kind of noise.

man its in the right 1 and it works all else were >< grrrr

Best test to confirm in Windows is record a ".WAV" file, using 'soundrecorder' or something. If your mic records your voice there, it ought work in AH, (volume settings aside)

did that too it works like a charm

I had that problem to, I have not played with the new updates as I have quit aces high for awhile.( I am to bz with real life). I turned down the sounds of the game. I think I was getting some of the noise back thru when I talked.
I also use a platronics headset which is not the best.
I also have realtek on my motherboard. I also went into control panel and tweaked some of the parameters.
I went into a quiet arena, quiet base, use the v channel and worked on my sound problem when I had it.
Last note my problem was when I was flying and not in the tower.
