I can't wait 'til they release that to BBC America.
I watch Top Gear religiously. Also, I found James May's Toy Stories to be creative and compelling - but somehow doubt they'll renew. I certainly hope they do, though. Otherwise, there's much to recommend the Beeb. Of course, I say that as an old PBS watcher of crap like Dr. Who, Red Dwarf, etc. I also think Ramsay's launched an entire reality genre with Kitchen Nightmares.

cool stuff, was hoping for a "Benny Hill" re-release,lol. We get good old Monty Python and Keeping up appearances repeats, but Benny Hill has not been on in a while.
Can't wait for BoB shows here. (US East Coast)

Oh no. Not something new. I'm already hooked on Dr. Who.

Watched this last night http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00ttjz0/First_Light/ (http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00ttjz0/First_Light/)
True story of 18 year old fighter pilot, many sorties, battle fatigue, had a mental breakdown at 20. Some nice combat footage but the story was about the stress and fear.

I don't think the colonials will be able to watch Iplayer.
I thought it was a very good 90 minutes. I have First Light and it is one of the better pilot memoirs. To be put through that at such a young age is a testament to the mans bravery and skill.
They portrayed Brian Kingcombe as a bit of a hard case, i've just finished his book and he doesn't really come across like that but another worthwhile read.
hence 92 Squadron's motto "Fight or die"

Clip about it on youtube for the colonials (assuming they have electricity)

I liked First Light, the bit where he was first bounced by a 109 and tried to spiral climb him seemed very familiar ("cmon stall you f*****!") :aok
-
You would figure with all the advancements in communications we'd be able to watch this over here in the states. :furious :furious

Yeah, global village my arse... :frown:

to be fair it does cost us £200ish a year each for the BBC ...

Well, in the mean time, <cracks book open>

Yeah I wish they had some of the BoB programming this month on the BBCA, guess the BoB is just a Brit thang.... for the record, this was an open invitation for you folks to be patriotic and boastful on our turf... don't say we never gave ya the chance come next July!
-
Still gotta wait for Christmas for a new Doctor Who episode though. That sucks.

Oh no. Not something new. I'm already hooked on Dr. Who.
i stayed up till friggin 430 am the other night, as they re-ran the matt smith episodes with the weeping angels. but it may hold me over till the new season starts.

I watched First Light on the iPlayer and very good it was too. Isn't the White Hart score board in the RAF Museum at Hendon now? Nice to hear Shepherd Neame get a mention - Kents finest!
A little aside - my brother-inlaw was a navigator on Phantoms with 92 Squadron.
There was a programme on the BBC last week about archaeology and eyewitness accounts from the BoB along the south coast from Dorset to Kent. Another thats worth watching.

Yes Baggy in places that was very moving - where they found where the old Spitty pilot's plane crashed and dug up a few bits and gave them to him there and then, and the pilot whose chute didnt open over Southampton, brought a tear to my eye.
