If it's boring, leave for a while and find something else that is of interest to you.  Come back after a couple of months if you feel the desire to fly WWII aircraft just for the fun of it.

There is so much more to the game then just furballing Lulu.

what is it you expect?  People to throw fun at you?  Fun to come up and bite you on the .......

Fun?  what is fun? what isn't fun?  Why have fun?  why NOT have fun?

Fun, what is it good for?

Fun....who needs it?

Ultimately, and what this game does so well, to each his or her own fun.  Make of it what you will, or don't.

Fun, what is it good for?
"Absolutely nothing.  Say it again."  Anyone else hear that song when they read this?  It will show your age.

"Do you know what good clean fun is?"

"No, what good is it?"

Back to the OP:
There is lot's more than furballing in the game.  If you catch me online, I'll wing up with you.

Umm, just "spitballing" here but...why, day after day after day are we helping these bored people find something to do in a game that at a minimum has 560 (number of vehicles, planes, guns, maps and boats) things to have fun, much less STAYING ALIVE in any of them!!!????  lmao...operating the equipment is one thing but getting good enough to stay alive for more than 10 minutes is something entirely different!!  90% of the fun is simply getting better...imho.

Changeup coddling the fun-challenged is over...this is the greatest game in the history of the free world....FIXED.

No one can tell you when it's time to step away or come back.  The only real question is whether you feel like you're getting your money's worth of entertainment per month.

That being said there are lots of things you can do and many times you have to make your own fun as I say from time to time.  This can mean trying new aspects of the game, flying with new people or making new friends, or just taking a break and doing something silly like a jeep trek up the side of the hill to 16,000 feet.

I remember an old map back in AH1 that was commonly referred to as the "pizza" map because of it's shape, I actually didn't care for it too much at first because I felt like the bases were too far apart and I found it tough to get a good furball going which is what I tend to prefer most in AH.  I didn't like it until some friends and I discovered that it was a GREAT GV map, there was a ring of V-bases around the outside with interesting terrain and a minimal amount of aircraft fly over.  We would go out there and spend hours battling over V-bases.  To this day I still don't GV much, but I still remember that map rather fondly, sometimes you gotta make your own fun.

:airplane: Some of the best fun I have had in this game is going to EW and checking which side is hitting low#/undefended bases. Then switch to the low#/undefended side and foil the base takers.
They are usually good natured about it and we all have fun.

I invite anyone who wants to try something different to fly with us in scenarios.  We have one running tomorrow.  To play, just show up in Special Events Arena II at or before 3 pm Eastern Time.  Try a different side to the fun in Aces High if you want something new.  :aok

lol, furballing......you mean ganging....to me thats the only reason to play this silly little game...to kill mofo's and not go to prison.

hell when I see two full red dars I KNOW I will have a fight, WooooooooHoooooooooo bring it on, there is nothing better the then attacking 10 to 20 nme cons and seeing how long you can last, and how many you can take with you, I have been doing this for a few years now, and I must say, my aim still sux arse, so I miss far more often then not, but my SA is tops I can track as many red cons as can fit on my screen, I very rarely get "bounced" I have killed 5 of 5 nme cons attacking me, and survived much worse odds then that, the only reason I can do this is Practice practice practice, dont let it get you down If you truly enjoy AH, find out what in AH you like and do that, do that as much as you can, you will find yourself getting better and soon you will see that AH is by far the best online game out there for killing red guys

This reminds me of one of my favorite Mamet moments, in "State And Main"...

Plural of 'dynamics' requires plural verb conjugation.

And "yestardy' is just too precious!

Good god, another one? How long till we get over this whole "the game dynamics have changed, causing the MA to be boring" thing?

lulu, if you want to have fun, up something other than the usuall dweebfire. If not, make it a spit V at least, preferably a spit I. Hop in a tank, go bomb something in a suicidal D3A raid with some of your buddies. I'm probably not even in the middle of the pack as far as pilot skill goes, yet I still up an I-16 with the 2 7.6mm's and the 12.7 or even the 4 7.6mm's, because its more chalenging (ie, fun IMO)

it sounds like someone hasn't learned the art of making friends, finding friends in the game that you enjoy hanging out with (virtually) and making your own kind of fun in the game! when you learn them secrets and use them, then the game will be what you want it to be. If you do not take the time to learn them secrets, then stop your whinin, get a girlfriend or a cat, and find something to do else where! :)

Since you won't stop...

Look. In my career I've had to write business letters in French, German, Italian, and Spanish.

So, when I didn't know a little wordio, I'd look it up in the little dictionario.

Anyone writing in a foreign language without a dictionario would be an imbecillio to send such a thing (as per my earlier post).

I have to say with all the furballing......... I have been having more fun in WW2OL... and that is a sad thing to say.

Cav

I played ww2ol during the last week....overall i think it has alot of potential....but just that

its not to say i didnt have some fun alot of it is tedious tho....the feeling of being surrounded by combat of all kinds esp as infintary watching the whole battlefield unfold around you is at times pretty novel and i for lack of a better word almost"awe inspiring"

I canceled my account after the two week trial  tho cuz 1 i dont wanna be paying 30 a month to play two games since i know i will play either one of the other and not both, for the most part at least....and 2 im not sure if ww2ol is worth it especially since they came out with a patch with bugs in it, one of them being a bug that severely limited the air force planes i was able to fly....

The reason  played ww2ol was because like the op i was getting a little bored with this game and was looking for an alternative (ive never played another flight sim mmo like ah so i had no real reference to gauge the industry) after playing ww2ol it kinda renewed my appreciation of AH.   I just wish they kept accounts around for maybe a few months because i would def cancel my account for a few months to take a break, save some money
but i would def come back
