Title: which nVidia Detonator drivers ??

hi all,

upgraded from 6.50 to 12.41 ; AH crashes to the desktop every now & then ...
downgraded from 12.41 to 10.80 ; now AH suddenly locks up - frequently !!

using a GeForce2 MX ...

Hiya,
Do a search for DX 8.1 it's a leaked more stable version of DX8  :)

I got mine from a german site but can't remember the url
I use dogpile.com as my searcher
If you can't find it, Post so and i will find url for ya (kinda busy today or i would, Will try to post after dinner if i get chance)

hmm i meant to say i use 12.41 too with DX8.1 leaked (rock solid in AH luckily)

I found this DX 8.1 with dets 12.41 official work great

The 7.xx series (get a WHQL certified version) (7.78 are good) work best in win9x IMO.  For win2k it's the official 12.41.

Before installing the drivers you need to be sure to uninstall the old ones, otherwise problems will result.  Just change the driver to standard VGA, reboot, and install new drivers is the easest way to do this.

downloaded them earlier today and just installed them and no crashes and lock-ups in more than an hour on-line !!
i'm even using AGP 4X which i didn't even try using 6.50, 12.41 and 10.80 ...

i'm real good at uninstalling and installing Detonators now  ;-)
