I bought a reconditioned X36 from the Saitek website about four months ago. This is the third unit I have owned (the first USB model though).
I had some issues with the front right hat view being a little dodgy, as well as the throttle only going to 98% and the trim wheels not perfectly centering. The Thrustmaster Propanel utility dealt with the calibration probs and I could live with a flakey front right view.
But recently, the pinky switch started failing intermittently, with the result that I lost all my "Up" views.
I called Saitek support and explained the issues. First they asked me to send them the J/S for replacement. When I told them I was paying $30 a month for an online sim and I no longer had the box to ship it back to them, they said they'd send me a new one with a UPS return sticker.
I'll be damned if I didn't get the new one three days later with a prepaid UPS sticker to send the defective unit back to them.
The new one functions perfectly and the calibration is right on for all three axes and the trim wheels.
Truly, customer service at its finest.

Your lucky, most customers consider the Saitek support dept to be the worst in the business.
Check Ron Hunt's Saitek help page to find that even he has given up on Saitek.
