Came across these two sites from an old HD (long ago transferred): http://www.internetmodeler.com/2005/january/galleria/la7.php (http://www.internetmodeler.com/2005/january/galleria/la7.php) & http://wp.scn.ru/en/ww2/f/335/1/2 (http://wp.scn.ru/en/ww2/f/335/1/2)
I was wondering if there is an issue with La7's template? or is there a lack of interest from skinners? I know the F4F has "mirroring" issues.
I'm not trying to slight the skinners, just wondering if this is plausible.

Just no interest I think? Only Greebo & I think Fencer have done new skins since the LA7 update.
-
well if greebo and fencer want to do any more skins :)

Pilot - Alelukhin Aleksey Vasilievich 9th GvIAP
would be nice if we had more La-5/7 skins :)

Part of the lack of interest in the La-5 and La-7 is probably that they all look pretty much the same- aside from scoreboards and numbers, there's not much variety in their markings like there is with so many of the other birds.
-
lol the P-38G slots are full of skins, and they are all green.... some have different color spinners but for the most part thats it, yes the La-7 is pretty much in the same boat, but If you look they actually came in quite a few como patterns with lots of unit markings

he has somewhat of a point Treize i say more LA SKINS! PLZ! :D :salute :salute

I've only ever skinned the La-5FN. It is not likely I'll ever get time to do a template for the La-7.

At least the 38G has different colored noses, rudders, and trim schemes. How many two-tone gray with blue belly and red cowling La-7s do we really need? I don't think I've seen a single verifiable La-7 actually from WWII that didn't look like almost every other one I've ever seen.

Nice Lyric. I did about an hour of scouring the interwebs the other night and didn't even come close to finding anything as good as what you just posted. Do you have any profiles of the Czech birds?

No Profiles of them in any of my books.

Do you have any profiles of the Czech birds?
1st Czech Air Regiment (1 CIAP ?)flew 11 very drab La5FN's in late 44 as part of a behind the lines incursion to Tri Duby. Not even a red/white/blue spinner. Czech air force only got La7's and La5FN's of there own after the war so be very carful when you see shots based at Tri Duby in hangers or one very long line of La7's and La5FN's.
The most famous for me (1CIAP bird) is white 13 due to its pilots previous history. Pilot Officer (an RAF rank) Pavel Kocfelda had previously flown Spit 5's in the RAF. he was able to report a direct comparison between the La5FN and the Spit 5.
