The first computer I ever owned was a Commodore 64 - purchased in ecstasy in 1984 when SubLogic realeased a version of "Flight Simulator II" for it since there was absolutely no way I afford one of the IBM PC's I was assembling and repairing at work. I spent countless hours at the helm of the beige box, Atari controller in hand :joystick: , flying between Boston and Block Island - all without ever coming out of the basement.
Looks like later this fall, I'll be able to take to the virtual skies with my trusty companion once again !!!! :airplane:

Remember the feeling in your belly that gave you? NOTHING will create that to you today. And that's a fact.

Basically a laptop without a monitor incased in a Commodore 64 keyboard? A little pricey.

I was thinking Commodore 64bit.
Neat looking systems, but I have a feeling they'll cost WAY too much.

Prices range from 490USD to 1200. Here's the kicker though: They run Ubuntu 10.04. I mean, what are they thinking?

Actually, I was asking that before you mentioned Ubuntu. On the other hand, they are targeting an oddball niche market, so why not Ubuntu?
