It also doesn't help when you don't tell us what we're downloading.

He almost killshot himself when one of his knight 'friends' (Im guessing not so friendly now) tried to kill the 190 he was turning with.
Not sure why you didnt just warn them off but it looks like you removed vox messages maybe and probably use TrackIR or something.

7 mins of my life wasted. thanks alot pal.

Don't see what the problem is, the other guys were trying to get on his tail just like you were. Took you a long time to get into position for a shot and then you
were out turned and the other guy came in for the shot just like you did.

warning off doesn't always work. i asked someone to hold off while i was getting my bellybutton kicked by potsnpans......he didn't. i lost an engine mid fight, but kept in it, as pots concentrated on the other guy. he kilt both of us anyway....but i thought it was kinda ignorant too. i pm'd pots and apologized, explaining i asked the dude to stay out.....he didn't mind though.

Yeah without vox, I don't know. I get on vox and tell people Im kewl with someone or not.

well.....if i'm in one of those moods where i wanna land my cartoon airplane, i ask for help. usually, i don't give a dam, and i'll ask for anyone that looks like they're coming my way, to stay out.
conversely, i ask before i just drop in on a fight. if asked to stay out, i do......

that sorta thing will happen when you fight in 10-3 odds. :aok

I gotta just say this and I know I'm probably gonna be sorry I did but... Don't frigging expect to get one on one fights in the MA period! The old days are gone when you could tell everybody to stay out and they would honor it but there is little honor in the MA's nowadays. You just have to proceed with the expectation that somebody is gonna jump in. It doesn't bother me as I suck and I accept it and appreciate any and all help I can get, but there are those that play for score and kills and their name in lights is like seeing a foxy chick saying, "here it is baby...so come and get some". ROFLOL
All the Best...

what i was talking about was in mw. 90% of the guys in there(at least bish and rook) will stay out when asked.
-
hell i dont totally mind when someone jumps on the plane Im fighting with, but when 2 or 3 guys all try to pick my kill meanwhile i have 2-3 enemy planes on my six. Its like c'mon quit goin for my easy kill and atleast give me a check 6  ....IMO these are the professional doochbags of the game
-
I have a great film if me picking 4 guys trying to steal a kill, I was behind all four talking about tunnel vision.

One thing I always have and will do is "ask if someone is ok or needs help", with EVERY 1 vs 1 I come across. Some say "If you can stay near and if I lose the adv., come on in". Most say, "Come on in". I don't barge into 1 vs 1's as I enjoy them.
Another thing, I banged the hell out of DH's 109. I noticed him hit the deck and called him a runner as joke. He told me "I'm winchester". I gave him a free pass to rtb. I just don't NEED kills like that, but I notice more and more do need that kill.
Bottom line, some are still courteous.
-
Unless it's a squadling, I don't ask if a friendly needs help in a 1v1. I'll jump in if they ask me, but otherwise I just leave them be. They can learn to fight 1v1 or die trying.
So who wants to be my wingman this afternoon? :D

Honestly, getting cut out of a kill a bunch of times is not nearly as annoying as the one time someone said "Muzzy, do you need help with that P47?"
The one that was sneaking up on my six? Yeah. Could use some help with that....*bam*
Oh, someone left donuts in the Tower.
I'll take a bad check six over no check six any day. And I'd rather get help on a kill than get killed because my countryman was trying to be polite. You have permission to cut in. Just let me know you're coming in advance so I can have the table set for you.

thats cool, personally if someone engages in a fight with me they better have the means to finish it. As i have been in fights with BnZer's who after 10 mins of missed attempts I finally get to equal advantage and now they wanna run away and say "RTB Fuel", too bad buddy you should have engaged istead of burning all your fuel fighting timid. :devil
or the guy who engages in a fight then when they lose advantage want to say "oh im gonna go land now dont be lame an vulch me on landing", once again just because you are done fighting doesnt mean i am, and your base is not a"home free area"

Situations are pretty easy to judge if you have been playing a while.
There are still people that play and understand that its not about sending you to the tower by any means necesary. You should always be courtious and ask first before diving into a target that a freindly is engaging.
Recently I was fighting a squaddie just off a freindly base that had many freindlies take off and just asked politley that noone butt in. Its great fun and everyone respected my wishes and flew by without interupting.
You get in situations where you do ask and the guy doesnt answer back, so its best you just stay out until the freindly is shot down or you see the red guy is trying to run and get a ditch etc.
Never gripe that you have been picked. Remember there are lots that use wingmen tactics and if you are on my wingman's 6..better be sure Im gonna swoop in to help him as I expect it from him. You choose your own fight. If you see more than one red guy, expect to get smacked around and dodge multiple targets. Getting picked is just simply bad SA on your part, you shouldve been smarter.

In a 1v1 situation I try to give a courtesy check if nothing else. But in a furball situation with multiple bandits it's really hard to look at the situation and say "gee, is this really fair to them?"
Last night an enemy pilot complained to me about diving into a 2v1 situation (he was the 1) and shooting him down. Really...in the MA...after he'd already gotten me more times than I'd care to count. Anyone who doesn't expect to be overwhelmed by numbers in the MA on occasion is really kind of a whiner in my occasionally humble opinion. I'm of the belief that the MA should be flown as close to wartime conditions as possible. If you want sportsmanship, fly in the DA.
As far as exiting the fight goes, it may be frustrating for the opponent but exiting a fight when the odds are not in your favor is just common sense. Besides, exiting is a skill in and of itself, as is trying to get into a vulched field. If I'm hit, low on fuel or at a serious numerical or energy disadvantage...well I ain't afraid to run from you. Besides, it only works about half the time.
-
Want an uninterrupted 1 vs. 1 fight? Go to the DA.
In the MA, expect a 1 vs. 1 to become a 2 vs. 0 at any second.
You're welcome!

And while I don't expect anyone to stay out of the fight I'm losing, or call my six for me, or clear my six, I appreciate it when they do, and I try to more often than not do the same.

I don't mind somebody jumping in to help me run somebody down, just don't get in front of my guns and cause a killshoot.

I was dead stick, oil all over the windscreen and fought to a good landing smoking and praying. Just as I came to a stop about to end sortie, a plane blew me away. I considered it non-courteous and muttered under my breath, but just upped another plane. I rarely fly because I suck so badly at it, but even in GV's I see a lot of smoking GV's limping, smoking back to base and the guys give them a pass. Guess it just depends on the circumstance and the player. But as some say, getting another cartoon plane up takes about 2 seconds.

often, i'll drop from alt, and fire bb's at the runner....just to force him to turn for the guy already chasing him........
