Title: Reinstall of AH

I had the unfortunate task of formating and repartitioning my HD. I went back and downloaded the base. I also installed DirectX 7.  Now the program begins, but just prior to asking resolution setting it crashes with an error. any ideas.

(I'll try to catch and write down the error message)

Here is the error message:

Initialization Failed with -4 MAINJS -4

This happened to me as well. Make sure the joystick you are using is set at ID = 1.

I agree make sure your joystick is on id -1
I had the same problem.
