The Luftwaffe Needs this BADLY......
They needed it badly, but never got it - so why should we?
-
To the OP,
In case you didnt know... There are two requirements needed for an aircraft to be included into the game:
1. Must have seen combat in WW2
2. Flew in squadron strength
This aircraft does NOT meet these two requirements and therefore will not be added to the game.
-
The Falcon series or something is far better if you want jet combat, just like for wwI stuff I have been playing RoF. AH2 has the best community, best pilots, and from what I can tell the best functioning physics engine. So why continually try to bring strange Luft jets into a game where most people are flying prop plane?
Come down here m8, the action is below 10k.

+1 for the 177 :D

+1 for the 177 :D
copy-pasted from an earlier side-by-side comparison of the He 111 and He 177 I made a while back...
Heinkel 177:
Crew: 5
Range: ~3400
Wingspan: 103ft.
Range:
Bombload: ~13k to ~15K lbs.
Defensive armament:
1 × 7.92 mm MG 81 machine gun in nose position
1 × 20 mm MG 151 cannon in forward ventral position
2 × 7.92 mm MG 81 machine guns in rear ventral position
2 × 13 mm MG 131 machine guns in FDL 131Z remotely-operated forward dorsal turret, full 360º field of rotation
1 × 13 mm MG 131 machine gun in manned aft dorsal position
1 × 20 mm MG 151 cannon in tail position
And she's got the ugliest profile you ever saw :aok
Not sure how the remote gun would work. Perhaps like the 5" guns currently do, a shot of the gun and a red +?
The dorsal gun, note the glass dome from which the gunner would control the weapon:

Made my post nice 'n' picture rich for those of you with short attention spans. :)

Or maybe just a Me210/410 and the He 111.

all f them (exept that jet thing) :aok

Hey Plazus? Do you work for HTC now? Cause they've never
stated what the requirements are for inclusion.

Yes, they have.
-
Really? A link to the HTC post or 'news' stating any such a thing would
suffice. Ought to be easy if you recall them making it.
-
IIRC is was pyro who said it on the forums.
-
My search of Pyro's posts, back to 99, using the words;
inclusion
modeling
aircraft
airplanes
& criteria
showed no such statement. None at all not even close. Same with
HiTech. I think too many have read other subscribers making such
statements over the years and it has now been erroneously been
pinned on as coming from someone at HTC.
Since the beginning they've never said what the criteria is. They
have explained some additions after the fact (for use in scenarios
for example)

If the Luftwaffe need something in AH it would be He 11 or Ju 52.
I am a Luftwhuiner and if I saw another 109, 190, or some BS like the He 280 before I saw a Ju 52 or He 111 Id be pissed. These idots who do not research and think out clearly what they are asking for is the reason HTC doesn't even bother reading the Wishlist. If you make a post in his wishlist, especially start a thread, please use intelligence.
Enjoy the freakin Mosquito Mk XVI.

whoops, nm.

For Luftwaffe aircraft I'd like to see some mix of these next:
Bf109G-6/AS
Do17Z
Do217E
He111H
Hs129
Ju87B
Ju87G-1
Ju52
Ju188A
Me410A or B
(alphabetic order, not listed by preference)

I am all for adding the Me410. It may not neccesarily bring anything new to the table that the 110 doesnt, but I like twin engine fighters. The more, the merrier.

I'll take a Junkers tri-motor with a float plane option and a Hornisse. K? thx.

Pirate: The He280 was a test platform that never existed outside of a handful of prototypes... The project was plagued with programs. While it was technically the first jet to be flown, it was replaced in production by the much more reliable (reliable to produce) Me262, which was better in several key departments including speed and firepower and overal airframe/engine coupling.
Plazus: You forgot the third.
3) Production models (no prototypes).
