Title: error Initialization failed -4

My system crashed.  i had to delete windows in dos then reinstall windows and all software.  When i try to run aces high i get an error that says "initalization failed -4  joystick failed -4"  Anyone know what this means and what I have to do to get the game working.

Me thinks it doesn't detect a joystick, plug one to your system. I have a switch so 2 sticks can be connected and when only 1 is conected I get that error if the switch is selecting the empty plug.

Just make sure your joystick is plugged in and configured withing the Control Panel.
