Post by: greens on August 31, 2010, 12:35:13 PM
a couple days ago i went to an opposing side and tried to kill onea my squaddies, we noticed that when he and i talked on squad vox mine and his dot would key up telling where we are. this is not supposed to be this way i think.

It's not a bug, squad vox is supposed to work that way.  Just like typing in squad text will show on all arena's and all chess pieces as long as you are in the squad.

And it only works if their dot shows on radar.  If the dot doesn't show or if they are in GV, you won't see where they are when transmitting.  Works just like when you're all on the same side.

We do squad training like that sometimes.  Whether dog-fighting or GV to air base defense.  It's very helpful when the person your trying to shoot down can tell you where your bullets are actually going so you can adjust your aim.

Not as helpful as it might seem. For shooting purposes, it only counts what is happening on the shooter's front end. Due to lag,the one beign shot at may have a different picture on his screen: It can easily happen that it seems the other guys bullets have missed me by 50ft, while he still hit me on his screen. Doesn't help if I tell him "you missed by 50ft", I still get the damage.
