Any ideas what happened anyone?

This is not a bug unless it's happening frequently and to many more players than one. Probably should have been posted in Technical Support.
IMO a 'bug' is an anomality that can be duplicated regularly and consistently after a certain set of conditions are met.
However, to answer the question... [humor tag] Aces High obviously stopped working. [/end humor]
Very tough to tell what happened. Custom sound pack? A drunk slamming into a nearby telephone pole that carries the wiring to your internet connection? A massive solar flare disrupting electronic equipment in your area? The neighbor hacking into your internet service? Problem at your ISP? Maybe they were doing some routine maintenance?
Now honestly, it is very tough to figure something like this out. The top portion of your DxDiag if available might help spot a problem though.
[ Working on my first beer too. Doesn't take much to get me cracking wise. ]

:old: :old: well you were running home to land only 7 kills in a tiger and the tiger in all its arrogance and selfish pride rejected this pathetic number of kills. :furious :furious It didnt want to be embarassed by having its name in lights with such a low kill count so it committed suicide   by crashing the game to avoid the embarassment :bolt: and to teach you a lesson for the future!!! :O :huh :O :noid
or its what Fuzeman said.......your choice you decide what the truth really is! :neener: :neener:
good luck either way

A DXDIAG output would be a good place to start. There are so many things which can cause the problem it can be a tough one to nail down.
More often, than not, it is resource, driver, or anti-something related.

Alright, i'll look into it. I always disable anti- stuff or even background systems before and during flight. Thanks Skuzzy.

Some anti-stuff doesn't really disable when you tell it to. What anti-virus software do you use?
-
That is true. McAfee and Norton do not really disable when you tell them to. They simply stop reporting findings.
The only way to make those two stop is to remove them from the computer.
-
AVG. Neither of the two mentioned, so not entirely sure. Maybe it really was just the tiger's fault? ....damn german machinery :noid :lol
