Most guys when they build a system don't take the time for "cable management". This is a very important step! It assists with air flow within the case as well as less places for dust to collect and impede your systems cooling ability.
This is the same system with before and after pictures. The motherboard, processor and heatsink are new. No additional holes were made to the case for the cables to run. I used what was available. Still the same case, same amount of fans, component wise this is still equal. So next time your doing a build keep the air flow in mind.

Most excellent sir!!! :aok

You missed a spot while dusting.
Just sayin

I'd love to get mt case that neat. I just cant because of where the connections plug in.

Now that I'm at home and have more time to type.
1 Why the mismatched RAM?
2 Was it an CPU upgrade or was the monster fan for overclocking?
3 Why a Biostar MB?
4 Why still have a missing screw on the slot plate below VC?

1) Ask the owner
2) It was to be a MB upgrade
3) BioStar MB was free with the purchase of certain processors
4) Its all filled in now

1-4 does the phrase 'cranial rectal inversion' mean anything to you? :lol
That'd be my box and TD kindly consented to fix it for me after I fornicated it vertically. TD put a heck of a lot more into fixing it than he requested in the form of $$ in return and I am extremely grateful for everything he has done and the educational information he has imparted to me during the process.
Gents, if you're thinking about taking it to the next level and like me don't have the time or the patience to learn how to DIY, shoot TD a PM. He'll get you sorted in short order.

Do you even know what some of these words mean or do you just put "shocking" words together to try to sound cool?

awesome job TD. :aok :aok

Bald he's not trying to sound "cool" He screwed the pooch and he's admitting it.
And FYI hes not some teenager, he's got a son that is in his upper teens.
Barking up the wrong tree Baldy.

why not? looks like matched pairs on each channel ...

The same level of beautiful craftmanship we have come to expect from TD. Nice work!! <S>

That's nice; cable management in Antec cases can be a real challenge. Here's a client rig I built recently in a P183 tower:

Some cases are just plain tuff to have excellent cable management.

Here's mine in a Coolermaster case. I had to drill one hole for the exhaust fan cable and connect two others to form a slot in the upper drive bays. The connections to the four hard drives, two optical drives and the floppy account for most of the visible wiring but there really wasn't anything more I could do with that:

hey TD do any of the cases you work with use internal ducting for airflow?
some of our HP boxes do to a degree, always wondered why more dont :headscratch:

I recently got a new case and upgraded watercooling setup for my main computer... I think going to great lengths to route cables is overrated, as you'll see :rofl :

Pic was taken right after I got everything in the case before I powered it up. Cell phone cam, which is why its a bit blurry.

boiler down is that your computer, or did you desk throw up :rofl. j/k man.

PS got my box back today.. been messing with the settings and so on... wanted to kick the living stuff out of the UPS guy who just left it on my front porch during a monsoon . Thankfully it didn't get wet.
TD.. you are freaking AWESOME!!!! Thanks so much for your work and attention to detail.

pictures man, post pictures, we like pictures of all the pretty lights :x :x :x.

Trust me! It is not as easy as TD makes it look. That expertise is from years of experience.
-
I wish my case were as easy to route wires in as that. It leaves some space for a "pile" of unused wires behind the drive bay, but other than that affords nothing for managing the mess. :(

TD modifies the cases which is no easy task. Well maybe for him now.

...unless he took the disk rack out and die-punched it, then riveted it back together, that appears to be an unmodified case.
-
This case was not modified, I used what was available.

I don't know. I did not build the system, only updated MB, CPU, MEM, cleaned and did the cable management.

After building a few align T-rex helis cable management in a pc case is simple to say the least, cables outside the case...............different story. :aok

TD did a heck of a lot more than that ^^^^ he tested it out, loaded XP, got all the updates, loaded AH and tweaked it to it's best possible performance, called me with regular status updates, asked me questions about what I wanted, worked with my budget, and educated me as to what I need to do to keep this system running at max performance in words that I could understand. Bottom line. If you're looking to take the next step and don't know how to build your own system or, like me, have fallen behind the curve of current technology TD is an awesome resource and I'm more than pleased.
Now I just have to remember to buy that compressed air and DDR2 before the price goes up even further.. :) Oh and save my nickles and pennies so I can get him to build me a new one next year. Squid is already salivating over this box.
