Title: DESTRUCTION CHART
Post by: 1DOGFITE on September 02, 2010, 12:43:06 PM
<S> GENTLEMEN,

Can anyone tell me if there are any new changes and what they are on the DESTRUCTION CHART located on the www.Trainers.hitechcreations. com site?

The questions have been asked concerning the "down times" of the items on the fields, such as guns, radar, etc...  The chart says 2 hours, but I have seen them pop in less time.

Thank You in advance for any help concerning this matter.

Note the down times listed are the maximum down times if the base is not re-supplied. Drone supply convoys are constantly running and the enemy can re-supply a field from nearby bases so, with the exception of hangars and CVs, you will rarely see items down as long as indicated in the chart.

To add...

If you destroy the enemy City Strat and the enemy Ammo Strat down to 0%, and THEN destroy Ord on an Enemy field, it will be down 2 hours if it doesn't get resupplied by a player.

Every load of supplies a player brings to the field knocks off 15 min. from that 2 hour total.

always wondered this, but could you say, have a group like the CJ's run supps and bring the base up just as fast as 8 C-47's can fly there? Or is there some maximum amount you can reduce the down time by?

Yes you can.

No maximum.

Yes you can.

Which occasionally provokes some utter complaints about "the game being broken", "HT favoring rook/bish/knits", or even hacking accusations when a player that just thoroughly porked an enemy field discovers that it's back to normal 10 minutes later.  :lol

One day a couple of months ago I logged on, didn't really see anything I wanted to do then spotted what looked like buffs flying toward a base.  I upped a M3 with supplies and took off from the spawn toward the base he was going to hit.  I followed along from base to base as he took down front line dars, reducing their down times then, as he was headed home I ran the course again.  I don't think he even landed before all the dars started to pop.

Then I saw a port dar go down so I headed there.  There was a cruiser shelling the field.  I must have made 10 runs into the field with supplies, bringing things back up that had been destroyed.  No one was defending.  Finally I was overwhelmed and couldn't keep up anymore.  I parked to try to shoot the incoming LVT's with my .50 but the cruiser got me.

I had never done that much re-supplying in all the time I've played AH put together.  All in all I spent several hours doing nothing but running supplies that day but in an odd sort of way it was fun.  Especially my valient fight to keep our port up at the end.

is that the same for hangars, fuel, dar, etc?

Hangers are on a "set" timer so no.

Field supplies will shorten the downtime of the following at an airfield or vbase
Dar
Ammo
Troops
Fuel

If all strats are up as normal and a person runs supplies to a porked field in a M3, exactly how much time does that take off of that item.

Also if there are several things down, such as 2 ord's and dar, and say 1 barracks, does the time "spread" out over the items down?

I never really got a good answer on this.

i've never heard a good answer to this one either.

usually when one of us starts running supplies, 2 or 3 more will join in, and we generally get things in good shape in short order.

Resupply IS confusing.  It is difficult to get "definitive" information about it.

(this first bit can be found at the Aces High Strategy Guide (http://www.flyaceshigh.com/ahhelp/map.html#targets))

Resupplies
Damaged field and city objects can be rebuilt with the successful delivery of supplies.  Conceptually, the objects are being resupplied but visually they are being rebuilt.  This is done by reducing the downtime by 30 minutes depending on how much of the supplies reach the destination.  If only half of the supplies reach the destination, the downtime is decreased by 15 minutes.

Trains, convoys, and barges
Trains, convoys, and barges are built into the terrain.  Each train, convoy, or barge has a source point and a destination point, and each can be damaged or destroyed while traveling from point to point.  When a train, convoy, or barge is destroyed, they will automatically respawn every ten minutes.

Each time a train, convoy or barge spawns, it first checks to see if there has been damage to the supplier (cities supply factories and factories supply fields).  The amount of supplies carried to the destination depends on the amount of damage to the supplier.  If the supplier has been damaged by 50%, only one out of every six train cars or convoy trucks will carry supplies.

The destination point is where the train, convoy, or barge attempts to resupply.  The destination can be either a single field, or a number of objects within a defined radius.  If a destination field is captured while a train, convoy, or barge is en-route, the train, convoy, or barge continues to the destination, and resupplies from the factories of the capturing country.

Once a train, convoy, or barge has successfully reached it's destination, a new supply convoy spawns.

Supply Drops
The C-47, LVT-2, and M-3 have the capability to drop supplies on a field to repair the field or shorten the downtime.  These object supplies will repair all resupply-able objects in a one mile radius from the point where the supplies land.  The supplies are selected as a load-out option in the hangar, and .25 perk points are awarded to the player who dropped the supplies for every object that's affected by the resupply.

A vehicle supply type is also available to repair and supply vehicles with ordnance.  When these supplies are dropped, any friendly vehicle within a half mile radius receives a Load Supplies button on their screen.  Clicking this button will use the supplies to both repair and rearm their vehicle.  If the supplies are unused, they vanish after 15 minutes.  Vehicle supplies will not reload troops or the vehicle and object supplies.

Strategic System
The basic categories of strategy targets in Aces High include field targets, zone targets, city targets, and supply targets.

The field targets affect availability of field items such as planes, fuel, ammo, etc.  Every tower has a chalkboard displaying the field number and the current status of the field targets.

The zone targets are the factories that affect the resupply of field targets.

The city targets are the buildings within a city and they affect the resupply of the zone targets.

The supply targets are the trains, convoys, and barges that resupply damaged fields and factories.

So what does this all mean?

Great question as there are some things I am still confused about.  The following is conjecture.

When you resupply a field, you get .25 perk points PER objects affected so that suggest to me that EVERYTHING gets resupplied when you drop one Field Supply.  That single Field Supply will take 15 min off the downtime of any and all damaged strat objects within 1 mile of the drop.  Something about the .25 perk points per object doesn't "fit" though.

That means if a field is 100% porked, and you happen to have 12 M3's handy with Field Supplies, you will have the field back to 100% when you drop all 12.  You do not have to bring 12 Field Supplies for each Strat object damaged.

The maximum downtime for a damaged Strat at a field to rebuild is 3 hours.

If a field does not get supplied at all it takes 3 hours for the Strat at the field to rebuild.

If the governing Strat and the City strat are at 0% then Field Strat will be down 3 hours.  Depending on what % damaged the City and Governing Strat are it takes between 2 and 3 hours for the Strat at the field to rebuild.

You can also kill convoys/barges/trains and not allow the field to be resupplied and it will take 3 hours for the Strat at the field to rebuild.

If you are resupplying a field solo it should not take more than 8 'ish' trips to get the field back to 100%  You have to factor in the drive time to the equation.  Most drive times are 5-10min so eight trips will take about an hour to do give or take.

Hope this helps.

hhmm....i haven't seen a train since the new update.........

just for immersion purposes, this sounds like something to get a few other 38 drivers together for, and do a sweep, looking for, and destroying them.  :devil

I "think" trains resupply the HQ area.  Hang out near the huge complex near HQ and you will run across a train.
