Title: joystick port on sb live
Post by: Pongo on December 03, 1999, 10:20:00 AM
Well after an online poll of rooks to find a good way to convince the wife I needed a sb live card, I settled on better to beg forgiveness than ask permission.
So I swapped out my sb16 and plugged in sb live. Poof neat new system sounds.
But I can’t get the joystick port to work.
In system it says I have a working joystick port but my logitech Wingman Interceptor can’t see it.
Any suggestions?
I have a asus p2b board and the only other card I have is a tnt card.
Any help would be appreciated.

I had problems with my TnT card as well Pongo- related to my Joystick port. Try reducing resolution and see if it works?

Mine was porked until I dropped to 800x600 desktop and game res. Then it worked!

Have you looked for any possible hardware conflicts?
Checked for that if that SB16s joystick port driver still exists in system hardware profile?

Thanks guys.
I removed all of the extra programs that SB installed and it worked!
I have used RW succesfully.  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
While I had the case open I decided to give overclocking a try. I sped my 366 celeron up to 458 and it runs no problem. Added 10 FPS in AH..
Thanks again guys.
