After the last patch, I've had intermittent sound issues.
Occasionally I just have no sound whatsoever in game.
Is there a way to 'reset' sound options to the best my computer can handle?
Like an autodetect or something?

Apparently I'm crashing in the offline mode as well. Had this problem a short while back also since the last patch.
Been a while between flying for me.
Is this a case of me needing to totally reinstall AH?
Is there an easy way to do this?
Do I need to completely delete the files first?
Any help is appreciated

do you have custom sounds? post your dxdiag. it will help.

This all happened when I decided to play with the sound options to see if I could get better performance after the last patch.
I had a custom sound pack installed many many moons ago. That was over a year or so ago though, and I have no idea if the latest patches have overwritten those custom sounds with originals or not.
The patch that made all sounds 100% loud and couldn't control them may have reset them.
I have no idea what a dxdiag is or where to find one either.

1. Go to "Start" from the Windows desktop
2. Select "Run" from the pop up menu
3. In the Run dialog box, type DXDIAG and press <ENTER>
4. After a few seconds the DXDIAG utility will be ready (the progress indicator in the lower left corner will disappear).
5. Run the video and sound diagnostics (Select the Display and Sound tabs to do this).
6. Press the "Save All Information" button
7. This will save the DXDIAG data to a file of your choice
open it then copy top 1/3 i believe and paste it here.

A complete re-install wouldn't hurt. It would get you back to a clean install....if done right :D
Goto start/programs/accessories/windows explorer. When that opens navigate to the aces high folder, and save the "settings" folder to your desktop ( this is so you can drop it back in and all of your head positions and stick settings are the same).
Close out those windows and goto start/settings/control panel and click on "add and remove software". Once the screen populates, use it to Remove Aces High. After it is uninstalled, be sure the desktop icon was removed(if not just drop it in the recycle bin). Download the latest version of the game and install it.
Once installed, the game will try to set its self to your computer. Try it with ut making any changes. This is where the Dxdiag report can come in handy. Many here can look at it and let you know the best setting to set your game to for optimum play.
Good Luck

Do you have the native sound card drivers installed?
The fact you are crashing offline does not bode well. The DXDIAG output would be very helpful.
