Title: problems with wingman interceptor
Post by: ibreh on May 17, 2000, 03:45:00 PM
Hello all, i need your help plz.
i bought a wingman interceptor, but i have two problems running it.
a) i cannot bring a profile to work. made one like it is described in the manual, but nothing happens when i start the game. the buttons i set up in AH itself are working fine, but for example the button i setup as micro button for battlecom (i choose F12) isnīt recoknized. so all buttons that are not defined in AH donīt work.
b) is there a way to bring the third hat to work?  AH only takes two. as you see under a) programming with keystrikes doesn`t work  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/frown.gif)
thx in advance

Did u download and install the newest version ?  Logitech WingMan Software v3.30 ?

The url is here  http://www.logitech.com/cf/support/logitech_wingman_soft.cfm (http://www.logitech.com/cf/support/logitech_wingman_soft.cfm)

I did get my profiler to work in AH but not WarBirds offline . Go figure ???  RW worked too , set my one extra hat push down for right control button . Far as I know the only way to get the thrid hat to work is to use the profiler .

I just checked and don't look like profiles can be sent in the mail  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/frown.gif) .

Not useing this stick right now , it's my backup one . Worked ok though , good for the money  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif) .

I tryed the last hat out again with no profile and got three of the eight postitions to work as buttons 14 , 15 , and 16 . Leaveing one to use with the profile for RW .  Look in Setup ,joystick ,select joystick in game , then theres stuff there to set the pov's and buttons too . Don't know how it all works ?????

air, the same here  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/frown.gif)
everytime i reboot (start) my computer i have to set it up new. in addition to that the feeling of the stick in center is not so good i think. i can move the stick a bit without pressure, so even when i use the POV my hand seems to be shaking enough to take the plane for example out of the autopilot. i am back to my old MS Stick now.

Do you use pedals with your MS Stick in AH ?
I was thinking that one could use the Pro with USB and CH pedals in gameport? Or MS 3DPro in analog mode into say a ProThrottle then Throttle into CH Pedals ?

I set the dead bands on my setup , seems to help that problem you wrote about . Roberts joystick setup he posted . If you havn't seen it , just check back on old posts .

BTY I love my ProThrottle , but hate the hat views with a CH stick . Sending back the Fighter stick I bought . It's to high :-( , plus this new one is poorly made . My old Combat that I bought used is very nicely made smooth action etc . But still no eight way hat that I like .

I though about the Salitk stick combo but you have to run 98SE and I don't have it .

Checking on a Wingman Extreme Digtal that can be set to analog mode , then run it though Throttle and pedals .
