According to a new study, students who use Facebook they and their facebook friends collectively have 20% lower scores in tests. So either facebook use makes you dumber or ..
nerds simply don't have friends.

The last line of that passage:
"It is very likely that the same study would have yielded the same results had Facebook been swapped for television, Twitter or email."
Wow, what a groundbreaking piece of research this one was. If you study less or while distracted, your grades suffer? :huh Personally I can't blame facebook specifically, but if PC games didn't exist I can't imagine what I could accomplish. :lol

It really depends on how you use it. I actually use it to communicate with friends, especially those from my high school class that have moved on. The people who spam never-ending groups and "likes" all over the place, spend years staring at a whatever-ville screen, and put random music lyrics as their statuses...yeah, I can see that.

Pretty worthless study, all it's really saying is that multitasking doesn't help you learn. They even admit in the study that they could have switched facebook out for another distraction and would expect the same result.

MrRiplEy, you do know that these reports can be mis-leading and subjective.
