When I look at pictures or clips of video from WW2, I think about the people in those pictures......They are either dead, or in there mid 80s/early 90s.
Does anyone else think about this? It really kinda bothers me. Same thing with pictures from the civil war or ww1, except I know that all the people in those pictures are dead.

I think about it every time I get out my wallet.
Pour some out for your hommies.

Every SINGLE time I think about my Grandfather, Uncles, and various relatives, that were called and went. Even my ex relatives, their friends, and various others I know and have known, who have recently had to go in harms way. I always respect our service men and women who put it all on the line. :salute

I watch a lot of old war footage and every single time I wonder if that guy or the guy over there made it out alive. I wonder what the world would have been like today if that war had never happened or what if Hitler had been killed in the first world war.
All the wasted youth, destoryed dreams and families that never were. The Sullivan brothers , 5 sons that never had a chance to start a family or civilian career. I often think about how I wouldn't even be here today if my grandpa hadn't been picked up after his destroyer went down in the pacific. So yeah I think about these kind of things all the time. :salute

When I think of that era the images are always black and white. My mom said that when she thinks of her childhood her memories are in black and white.
