As some of you know I work in the news media and I run across all sorts of stories that sicken me. However, we had a story happen this week in a town not to far away that has really affected me.
An 81 year old man, in town for his daughters wedding, was beaten to death by a 13 year old and two 16 year old boys. The reason? They wanted to impress some girls by beating up the next person they met. I'm just at a loss...

Very sad. :pray
There are a group of four teens in my area awaiting trial for beating a homeless person to death. The reason; they thought it would be exciting to beat someone up. :headscratch:

A few years ago we had a string of those in Milwaukee... look up mob beatings in Milwaukee for some truly sad stories.
-
Stories like this can ignite a vigilante passions. :(

Were the girls impressed?
If they were, those boys and girls should not be allowed to breed.

Thankfully we don't see stuff like that here in Fargo ND.
Maybe we got some hard core Judge's, maybe most folks are just too busy trying to stay warm, or maybe, just maybe parents do a better job of raising children up here.
I could be wrong, but it seems that kind of mindless abuse goes hand in hand with drug abuse. And I don't mean smoking a joint on Fri night.
We need to bring the troops home, seal the border, and WIN the drug war.

Sickening.

By beating.

There's some kids in my town that think jumping this little guy over and over again is fun just because they get annoyed by him. The kid's mentally challenged and as annoying as he can be, he hasn't done anything to deserve getting jumped...

Out here in the bay area, i remember recently that these 2 thugs beat a middle aged chinese man to death because they were bored or something like that... is sickening

At this point, I'm used to hearing stuff like this. Then again, I meander around the "underworld of the internet" from time to time.

Stone them to death.
Our constitution provides protection against that punishment... even if it is fitting.

By beating.
Yep, and have those girls watching to make sure they impressed.

What article of the constitution provides protection against that? Not trying to be a smart A## but it's late and I'm too tired to bother researching the issue.

The eighth amendment that protects against cruel punishment.

The eighth amendment that protects against cruel punishment.
One of the first ten amendments, or Bill of Rights, created at the time of the initial ratification of our structure of government. --- Not something added in a hundred years later.

We as a society reap what we sew...
As repugnant as this incident is...the more telling and interesting question is how are we breeding humans that think this way...
Before this comment is construed as a condemnation of our society from a moralists perspective I will.... :bolt:
