Was going through some of my things in the basement. Ran across my old record player and ALBUMS, not CDs. Seen Dio's holy diver album and threw it on. I about tore the house apart running around in it like a demented lunatic possessed by dio himself. What made me realize i was old (other than my album collection and still having a record player) was the fact i had to sit down and hit my breathing puffer. Every dog in the neighborhood is probably howling at the sound of the screeches that came from in here. (my attempt at singing dio). Excuse me while i go get my hip replaced now. Think i threw it out jumping off the sofa like i was eddie van halen or something =/.

Eddie didn't jump around all that much when I saw Van Halen. It was DLR that did all the jumping around.  :rock

I about gave myself a mild whiplash head banging to the old arena bands on the "new" classic rock channel.

I remember riding in the car with my parents and listening to music they grew up listening to. It was the oldies station. Now mine is "classic rock" dear lord :( :cry

I just turned 46 at the end of august. A couple days ago I get a letter in the mail from Power Chair.  :furious :cry

Heck, I'm only 30 and most of the music I liked as a kid is already popping up on oldies stations around here (Genesis is NOT oldies!!!). Whats worse is that a lot of the teenagers that volunteer with me at the Fort hear the music I listen to and say "Yeah, my parents listen to that.  :eek:

Hasn't been very much good music coming out lately. I'm claiming your generations music as my own, due to the fact that my generations music sucks like a vaccuum cleaner.

I agree, there are some good rock bands, Cage the Elephant is my favorite.

Yep, you know you're old when the music you listened to is now called 'Classic", or your bands music is on the discount rack.

 I went back to college this year. It really makes you feel old when you have classmates that were born 1991.
