I am getting back to the game after an absence of a couple of years, and have had to do a complete new install of AH over a new install of XP. Therefore, I didn't have my old settings for the installer to import.
My question is, is there a way I can manually import / copy any of my old settings to the latest version of AH? For example, can I copy the "settings" folder from the old hard drive into the new AH installation, or will this break things? Advice would be appreciated, as redoing all my settings would be time consuming.
Thanks in advance,

There are somethings that would defintately break, and others that could get flaky. That is a pretty old version of the game to try and grab settings from.
The only posible way to pull it off is to install 2.13 Patch 1, with the settings you have, then allow the game to slowly upgrade itself, via the auto-updater, to the current version.

If you have a nerdy side, you could sit and compare all the files and make "new" versions for each one, too. Most (all?) Aces High settings are in text format. But tha'd probably take even longer than just deleting the thing and making new ones.

I decided to just do new install and redo all my game settings. I had forgotten what half of them did anyway.
I wonder if skins can be reused from 2.13? There doesn't seem to be any way to download all the (non-hi-res) skins at once, but instead it seems that I would have to individually download each skin by clicking on it (and that without knowing in advance if I liked its appearance).
Is there a standard skin pack somewhere?

You can "re-use" old skins and the autodownloader will simply replace the outdated ones.
You can, however, use a FireFox extension called DownThemAll! to download all of them in one session. If that's too much for you, I could upload my skins folder, but it's 432MB.
