Title: THROTTLE THINGY STICK
Post by: ScreamingEgle on August 29, 2001, 10:51:00 PM
Can someone please explain how to program this
thingy for views ?
What I am talking about is the Pro Throttle USB.
I wonder why CH put that there?

Would have liked another 4 way hat instead.

I use a non USB Pro-throt and use Speedkeys to set up my commands. Maybe USB doesn't use programming templates anymore. Have you checked with the CH people?

Here's how it works in theory...

I say "In theory" because my PT USB is giving me fits (configures just fine, but the virtual joysticks I set up in the control manager refuse to show up under gaming options)

Map the x & y of the mini-stick to be, say x & Y of Joystick 3. Once that's done go into AH Joystick setup. CLick on Select Joystick and you should see a couple of Joysticks in there (I don't, because of the gaming options hosage I mentioned before)

Just assign the 2nd joystick's X & Y to the view 'pitch & yaw' controls.

Voila! The min stick should now work as an analog view control.
