Title: How does one disable voice?
Post by: TDeacon on September 11, 2010, 10:19:56 PM
I just reinstalled AH after several years away, and am getting gaps in the normal game-sound output.  This seems to be associated with the in-game voice communication capability.  I have turned the volume of voice down to zero, as I have never used it, but now it seems that doing so replaces voice with silence.  The net result for me is normal game sounds, with random periods of no sound when people are speaking.

Any idea how to configure the game to disable voice, to avoid this?

Thanks, in advance,
TDeacon

Hmm...  Maybe it's the "voice" "effect volume" slider?  I had that at zero; will try it at full.

You might want to check your sound settings slider for game sounds.  I usually have mine toned down so I can hear the voices better.  Perhaps your game sound slider is all the way down, so when someone starts talking, your game sounds get turned down.

Try this link to the trainer's site...

yup, turn the effect volume all the way up. this sets the level of sound effects in the background while someone is transmitting on vox. :aok
