Title: My bombing run
Post by: icejaff on September 12, 2010, 01:03:19 AM
I am slowly getting better with my bombs :D this time I actualy almost hit something.
Well I just want a bit of advice, in my bombers I always lose alot of hieght this one is ok as I only give him %50 fuel, but is there a way to get a good height.

Well I just need advice on the bombing as I said but can someone give me a few tips on how to be more accurate with my bombs and point out anything I am doing wrong in the flight.

Yes, the Aces High Trainer Corps website (http://trainers.hitechcreations.com/) can! Go to "level bombing techniques" and particularly take note of the "Calibrating Your Bombsight" section. With proper calibrated bombsight = pinpoint accuracy, without it = holes in the landcscape.

On climbing - Besides a reasonable fuel loadout you need a lot of patience. And use auto climb "alt-x", I saw in your film that you were trying to climb manually. You were constantly pulling too much, getting too slow and just wasting energy in stalls. Use autotakeoff & autoclimb for the best steady climbrate.

If you go to the Training Website like Snailman said, you should get all the help needed.

Personally, I don't use them when taking off.  I'll get about 300ft alt, level to gain speed to about 200kts, then set for about 1k VSI.
